• Identifying Long Lead Items at the Proposal stage and co-ordinating with the Potential Vendors around the world for receipt of bids

• Arrange suitable means of transport considering the nature, weight and volume of the cargo to be shipped and the requirement of the Project schedule.
• Define shipping arrangements for heavy, oversized and /or sensitive equipment in conjunction with engineers and vendors, and arranging for any required official surveys.
• To obtain draft copies of required shipping documents in advance, check that these documents are correct & in compliance with local customs rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with clearing agent and monitor the clearance at Qatar entry and inland transportation to the Project Site.
• Prepare, update and maintain the Procurement register, shipping status report.
