I play a key role as member of the Data Acquisition Core supporting Peo Project(P20) which is a
collaboration between a number of stakeholders such as Ministry of Health & Wellness, University of
Botswana, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University and Wits University. The project aims to
establish a Regional Centre of Research Excellence in Southern Africa for Non Communicable
Diseases, piloting with Breast Cancer, Hypertension and Motor- Accident related Trauma. As part of
the Data Acquisition team and my primary focus is;
• Assessed and mapped out facility-based data acquisition practices, trends and processes
selected core data variables for Breast Cancer, Hypertension and Road Accident Trauma
Research Groups.
• Developed Standard of Procedures (SOPs) and Code of Conduct/Ethics for Fellows
(Medical Doctors) responsible for Research data collection and analysis.
• Facilitate, train and lead different multidisciplinary teams to implement improvements
initiatives using the PDSA (Plan Do Study Act) approach.
• Initiate development of novel data acquisition solutions; facilitate data quality,
management and utilization at facility level.
• Conduct needs assessment for further development of eHIS for identified core data
elements and make recommendations of adopting best practices, efficient and optimal
use of relevant ICT to support customer service.
• Conduct quality assessments, system monitoring and audits.
• Steering Committee member responsible for the Breast Cancer and Road Accidents
Trauma study protocol development, research execution and management.
Knowledge Management and IT Consultant
Leading a team of consultants to:
* Facilitate training workshops in Information & Knowledge Management
* Execute
System developer and User Support for BPC’s SAP system (Systems Application and
Products)
* Consulting with other team members to fulfil business requirements across functional areas
to gain alignment between the business clients and functional teams to develop the optimal
solution to business requirements while also delivering a solution that complies with
specified standards and levels of maintainability.
* Apply Total Quality Management principles to systems support
* Implementation of technical changes for the agreed upon solution to achieve a reliable,
stable system operation with a minimum of SAP customization.
* Following and ensuring of the execution of all appropriate documentation, testing, technical
design, quality assurance and management of change requirements as well as influencing
continuous improvement in these areas.
* Collaboration and leadership with other areas regarding technical design, cross-functional
process integration and testing to influence the achievement of an optimal, integrated
solution.
* Taking an active role within established teams, guidelines, timeframes and scopes with
minimal supervision to provide solutions, and for other reasonable tasks as given by

* Developing an IT training manual for the Basic Computer skills course

* Registering the Consultancy with BQA for accreditation
and facilitating tutorials for the modules - Systems Analysis and Design, Project
Management and Introduction to Computer Skills.
* Supervise student projects in using the system development life cycle (SDLC) in developing
their systems.
* Prepare examination questions for the modules.
* Marking of students’ examinations and tutorials.
* Preparing weekly class reports and end of semester student performance reports.

* Implement continuous Quality Improvement to processes
* Structuring and facilitating the faculty’s curriculum and student projects.
* Preparation and presentation of the overall performance report for the Software
Engineering Stream.
* Conducting the Software Engineering stream lecturer performance evaluations.
* Ensuring quality assurance in module materials, classroom conduct and examinations of all
the modules under the Software Engineering stream
Overall coordination of the System Analysis & Design(SAD) module
* Preparation of lecture materials, study materials, student projects and examination
questions for the system Analysis and Design.
* Chairing of SAD module meetings and preparing module reports.
Supervision and coordination of the planning, analysis, design and execution and testing of
the systems designed by ICT Final Year Degree students. For instance, the cell phone banking
system for Botswana Post developed by one of our student.
* Attend to student consultations from the beginning to end of their projects.
* Assessing of and marking the ICT students’ projects at end of the year
System Analysis & Design Lecturer & Module Leader: Limkokwing
Assist customers with routine account-related enquiries such as: funds transfers, automatic
funds transfers (AFTs), stop payments, bank deposit, products and service charges, ATM and
debit card usage and limits, checking and savings accounts transactions, funds availability,
and check verification requests by third parties.
* Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other
bank departments when necessary
Leading a team of consultants in:
* Designing and delivering IT training
* Developing IT training materials for Computer skills courses
* Business Development and policy writing initiatives related to training
* Planning and running training workshops
