Seconded to OSN from September 2010 until March 2011 to support the CA Operations role. Took on the role full-time from March 2011 and relocated to Dubai.
Managing a team of 5 CAS Engineers who maintain and operate 3 CA headends, simulcrypting 150+ channels and managing external simulcrypt partners in multiple locations.
The CAS team provides support for the 8 different models of OSN Set Top Box in the field, including a hybrid OTT box delivering progressive download content from the CDN.
In December 2011 I took on the role of project managing OSN’s digital platform and successfully delivered OSN Play on time and in budget in March 2012. Since then the platform has expanded to include iOS, Android and SmartTV applications and I am still involved with the day to day operation and roadmap for OSN Play.
Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex broadcast systems: satellite, cable, terrestrial and IPTV.
Involved from pre-sales process through to launch and post-launch support.
Design, purchase & installation of broadcast headend, overseeing system engineers and fulfilling broadcaster requirements.
Managing STB delivery, including design, customisation and delivery.

Oct 94 - Apr 95: 6 month research visit to the United States on behalf of Afmemco and sister company Keyman International Ltd. Attended training seminars involving presentation, design and network software. Established contact with many recruitment companies and similar organizations involved with the Middle East markets, together with major computer software and hardware companies on behalf of Afmemco for future business development.
Duties included reception and secretarial tasks, with overall responsibility for computer system, Letters of Credit, Import/Export papers and client correspondence using phones, fax and telex.
