Worked as a Researcher at KAPSARC’s Policy and Decision Science program. My research agenda at KAPSARC is to develop and conduct research on labor markets and energy demand connection. As an economist, I model economic decision making of individuals and households and bring models to data by applying structural econometric estimation techniques. Designing counterfactual policy experiments and scenario analysis to support smart policy making is the ultimate goal of this research agenda.

Promoted (Tenured) to Associate Professor of Economics by the Turkish Inter-Universities Council.
I served as the director of The Sustainable Development Forum (SDF) at Ozyegin University. SDF was established on April 6, 2017 as a scientific research platform in order to enable both Ozyegin University and TÜSİAD to take their share of responsibility in Turkey’s advancement based on the 17 sustainable development goals set forth by the United Nations and adopted by Turkey. Ozyegin University’s mission is to create, share, and apply knowledge in the service of society. The University aims to bring solution-oriented and high value-added applications to life. We aimed to understand first hand the realities of both the public and private sectors, on both a global and local level, through its world-class education and research. The forum established seminar series, initiated research collaborations and created a platform at the university for further multidisciplinary research initiatives to be undertaken within my directorship.
