Roles and Responsibilities;
Coordination with Head of Sub Office in region/districts on food and Non-Food Items requirements for the emergency operation.
Coordination with the CO, SO&.FO Warehouse in-charge to ensure proper warehouse management and monthly/yearly stock count/check for the warehouses in the central/states are done.
Contribute to review of WFP corporate warehouse standards and procedures, to support efficiency and changing business needs.
Supervise and Coordinate the transaction i.e. receipt/dispatch of commodities, to ensure accurate recording, accounting and reporting is available at all times to support decision-making.
Manage transport planning and arrangements for timely position of trucks for loading, movement and dispatching of stocks/NFI’s with the contracted transporters, WFP fleet and/or log cluster unit.
Coordination of timely logistics operational support thru WFP Log Cluster to the INGO, UN agencies and Govt. on logistics operations and supply i.e. storage facilitation, transport arrangement and other logistics services.
Supervise and Management of inventory of all food and NFI stocks activities by carrying out physical stock counts (monthly, ad-hoc and random), shunting, stock transfers, re-bagging operation and processing etc.
Follow-up with HQ/RO on call-forward and timely prepositioning/delivery of the food requirements and NFI/basic warehouse equipment.
Supporting and overseeing the logistics operations in the Sub Office, maintain proper coordination between the Sub Office and Country Office for issues related to general logistics operations to avoid any gaps affecting the operations.
Preparation of CO Logistics Capacity Assessment (LCA) on principal actions including but limited to Road transport, Warehouse & Storage, Shipping, Commodity Tracking, Logistics Services, Outsourcing
Check data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reporting, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), supporting a WFP-wide view of logistics activities that enables informed decision-making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
Carry out capacity building of WFP and partners for Warehouse Management best practices, Basic Pest Control (i.e. Rodent, Pigeon) and Commodity Tracking System
Monitoring transportation status and advised on bottlenecks with recommend solution to avoid any delays in dispatches/deliveries/losses.
Build relationship and collaboration with counterparts in the key supply chain functions at the sub office level to ensure an integrated supply chain management.
Collect and analyze relevant technical data from diverse sources to forecast operational needs under various scenarios and make evidence-based proposal
Implement operational warehouse procedures and normative guidance in order to manage WFP’s warehouse and handle inventory effective through corporate systems
Ensure operational reports are prepared and circulated timely; Daily Dispatch Report, Weekly and monthly Report and log SITREP
Other duties assigned by the Head of Logistics or Deputy Head of Logistics
