Leads the procurement operations for the IMI shipyard development project in Ras Al Khair, one of the largest integrated maritime facilities in the region. The project focuses on shipbuilding, offshore rig construction, marine maintenance, and industrial shipyard infrastructure supporting Saudi Aramco offshore operations

Key Responsibilities: -


• Manage end-to-end EPC procurement processes including RFQ preparation, vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, purchase order issuance, and contract negotiation.

• Procure materials and equipment for shipyard and industrial facilities, including blasting & painting plants, marine maintenance infrastructure, steel fabrication workshops, and ship production unit.

• Source mechanical equipment, structural steel, piping systems, valves, electrical components, and MEP materials from global suppliers.

• Conduct techno-commercial bid evaluations in coordination with engineering and project teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and procurement standards.

• Coordinate international procurement logistics, including freight forwarding, import documentation, customs clearance, and shipment tracking.

• Maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and perform supplier performance monitoring to ensure on-time delivery and procurement efficiency.

• Ensure procurement activities align with EPC project schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements.

Managed procurement and logistics of petroleum products, sourcing from UAE suppliers and coordinating bulk shipments to India for resale. Handled supplier negotiations, shipping coordination, and complete import/export documentation.

• Led overseas sourcing activities by identifying and negotiating with international suppliers.

• Coordinated freight forwarders, shipping lines, transport companies, and customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery of imported materials.

• Managed complete import and export documentation including Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (COO), HS / HSN Codes classification, and regulatory compliance documentation.

• Verified correct HS / HSN codes for imported materials to ensure accurate customs declarations, duty calculations, and compliance with international trade regulations.

• Handled customs duty assessments, import tax payments, and SABER certification requirements to comply with Saudi import regulations.

• Monitored shipments from supplier dispatch until final delivery at project warehouse or site, ensuring full logistics visibility and delivery tracking.

• Planned and supervised transportation logistics including port operations, container handling, inland transportation, and coordination with site teams for material receiving.

• Managed and minimized logistics costs by monitoring port charges including demurrage and detention, coordinating with shipping lines and logistics providers to avoid delays.

• Optimized logistics routes and freight planning to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery efficiency.

• Managed warehouse operations including inventory control, material receiving, storage planning, and stock monitoring to support uninterrupted project execution.

Glades Engineering & Contracting Pvt. Ltd is a contracting company for Engineering, Design, Fabrication Erection and Commissioning of steel structures, Pre-Engineered Buildings, Space frames, large span roofing and general fabrication.



Handled procurement activities for industrial construction projects including MEP systems, mechanical installations, structural steel works, and civil infrastructure developments.
