● Developed a new vendor for Zircon Flour from Malaysia with a price that is 14% less than the earlier vendor which resulted in savings of around 9, 129, 129 SAR per annum.
● Steered innovations designed to boost efficiency and productivity:-
- Proposed new method for aluminum oxide transportation from Maaden to SCC via bulkers instead of flatbeds with expected annual savings of around 2, 813, 702 SAR per annum.
- Proposed to increase the capacity of 4 hoists used for loading bags of soda ash from 1 Ton to 1.25 which will generate an annual saving of almost 1 million SAR.
- Proposed generating electricity using solar energy systems at all SCC sites instead of obtaining from the Saudi Electricity Company. Calculated cost saving of 17% in the electricity expenses compared with the current practice, that too with no investment required.
● Superintending a dynamic R&D team for the Cartons cost optimization project through a re-engineering process with expected cost savings of almost 1, 000, 000 SAR per annum. The savings were achieved via the following re-engineering parameters: Flute type, Flap size, Paper type, Carton size and GSM of paper.
Responsibilities:
● Hired to provide leadership, vision, direction and structure to the global procurement function to drive efficient, effective and value-added procurement planning, sourcing and contract management in keeping with the Corporation’s strategic priorities and in compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice.
● Driving force for continuous improvement of strategy and transformation of strategic sourcing capabilities and effectiveness, whilst ensuring commercial, legal and contractual compliance in all procurement transactions.
● Optimizing the purchasing process led to improved PR to PO efficiency upto 96% compared to 2020 which was 55%.
● Nurturing alliances, creating value and trust through innovation & supplier and vendor partnerships.
- Developed a new vendor - TAM for soda ash to tackle the international price increase. As a result, achieved a saving of SAR 20 million per annum.
- Developed Ultra Care CR77 to manage the shortage of sodium silicate and saved around SAR 2 million.
- Developed UADEFL 200 as a replacement for Soda Ash, Sodium Silicate and STPP. Achieved savings of SAR 3 million per annum.
- Developed a new vendor (SAPTEX) for polyol &MDI with a cost saving of 300, 000 SAR per annum. And all the more for Hot Mold since its annual consumption is much higher.
- Developed Al Hoshani Group as a new vendor for top & bottom fenders for the EWH plant. Registered annual savings of 317, 500 SAR.
- Developed 7 vendors to face the shortage of Boric acid.

● Controlled spending by building a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs. Achieved cost avoidance of SAR 403, 000 in the new egg tray line of Waper through active coordination with supplier & WFI customs clearance department.
● Chief Negotiator for the company with all suppliers/ vendors, efficaciously secured advantageous terms.
● Strong leader, great communicator and expert negotiator with an analytical mind capable of taking on the toughest challenges. Known for building alliances & creating value through innovation & supplier partnerships.
● Nurtured synergistic business relations between WFI and Allianz Saudi Fransi Insurance Company (Allianz SF) to insure all risks related to properties, vehicles and marine shipments. Negotiated marine insurance contract to deliver savings of SAR 250, 000
● Delivered annual savings of SAR 120, 000 by finalizing contracts for the supply of tires & batteries for all WFI batteries.
● Enabled Al Watania Paper Products and Al Watania Bricks in securing SAR 60 million in loans from the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) by providing required insurance policies.
● Obtained ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
● Bagged a centralized contract for procurement of wooden pallets for all WFI units and saved SAR 779, 000.
● Developed new sources for acquiring machines and assets delivering cumulative savings of SAR 25 million.
Responsibilities:
● Directed procurement excellence, architected, launched and executed a comprehensive strategy designed to boost profits and enhance working capital efficiency and productivity for various WFI entities. Managed end-to-end planning, procurement and delivery of equipment, materials, and services.
● Commanded the entire contracting/procurement life-cycle, right from determining the tendering strategy, preparing tender documents, issuing tenders/RFPs/RFQs, receiving and evaluating bids/offers, conducting negotiations, and ultimately awarding contracts/purchase orders.

Al Watania Paper Products (WAPER) was formed in 1981 with a paid capital of SR 15 Million and a production capacity of 15000 MT of cartons and 15000 bundles of egg trays. Since then, neither financial investment nor technical development hasn’t ceased and a capacity of 150, 000 MT of cartons and 960, 000 bundles of egg trays per annum is achieved.
Accomplishments:
● Developed and implemented an effective waste reduction system which reduced waste by 25% with annual savings of SAR 3.375 million.
● Established the motivation and rewards system for production employees of the company
● Headed manufacturing operations of the company manufacturing cartons and egg trays on modern automated lines.
● Leveraged lean-manufacturing expertise to align manufacturing operations, enhance productivity and rigorously improve processes whilst registering significant cost savings
APICO - now part of Alkhorayef Printing Solutions - specializes in manufacturing of carbonless copy paper, food board and trading in other printing and packaging paper
Accomplishments:
● Established a partnership between APICO and PAINTCO and coordinated with the APICO technical team and consultants from PAINTCO for development of inks meeting the company’s technical specifications which reduced cost of inks by 50% with annual savings of SAR 1, 000.000.
● Re-engineered operational sequences to improve the quality of products, reduce production time by 30% and save SAR 500, 000 per year.
● Secured ISO 9001 QMS certification raising APICO to a position among the top 10 companies implementing ISO 9001.
● Established a partnership with Natural Gas Distribution Company (NGDC) to source low-cost natural gas replacing higher-cost LPG completing the assignment on time and within budget.
● Evolved with next-generation technology, and facilitated implementation of Oracle.
