This project consists of Dualization of road, Relocate the existing services and protect them where required, Laying the new 400 mm GRP line including Manhole’s. Provide the parking area and Demolition of existing buildings. Fixing of Street light poles.
Responsibilities included…..
Managing a team of Site Inspectors, Surveyor, Draughtsman, Secretary and Document Controllers to monitor and approve contractor’s work and assure adherence to contract documents,
•Review Shop Drawings, daily programme Schedule and Material Approval etc,
•Co-ordinate/Liaison with the Client, Contractor and other stake holders involved in the project,
Attending meetings and do the required correspondence to follow administrative & technical issues,
•Implementation of Project QA/QC standards,
•Ensuring the safety of work on the site & attend the safety meeting,
•Reviewing method statements for construction activities, Monitoring daily progress with submitted program,
•Verifying the shop drawings with the contract drawings and authority requirements to make suitable construction,
•Supporting line managers in the preparation of project management procedures such as project execution plans and coordination procedures,
•To ensure effective and timely communication of requests for action, responses to requests, routine reporting and important information to managers and other concern, and
•To attend weekly progress meeting, updates minutes of meeting, inspection reports, weekly inspection ahead schedule, and NCR status.
•Review the final as-built Drawings as per site completion works,
•Preparation documents for Taking Over Certificate, and Inspection of site with Client for handing over project.
Expansion of Main Terminal 1 & 2, Extension of Apron and New construction of Taxiway.
Project Type……
This project consisted of the earth work, pavement, asphalt pavement, utilities, underpass, installation of lighting towers, and relocation of services, huge concrete work for apron.
Responsibilities Included……
-Make sure the contractor meets his contractual obligations and requirements.
-Monitoring the contractor works to ensure the contractor achieve the standard of work specified.
-Make sure the site Inspectors carry out inspections and tests in accordance with specification, and observing closely all site works.
-Issue site instructions as required to ensure that the contractor is working to the plan to achieve Client Specification.
-Check shop drawing and method statement which submitted by the contractor to make sure that they are within contract drawing and specification.
-In the absence of the C.R.E, the Civil Engineer have the authority to carry out the normal R.E./CRE authority unless notified by a site instruction that certain activities are executed.
-Submit the daily report to C.R.E with the following information,
a. Daily activities.
b. Difficulties encountered and delays.
c. Instructions issued to the Contractor.
-Check to make sure that the safety measures on site has been followed strictly by the contractor in order to avoid injury to persons and damage property.
Check to make sure that the contractor is maintaining the site in tidy and clean condition during the entire construction

This project consisted of Reconstruction of Road pavement, Milling and Relaying of Asphaltic surface, Reconstruction of Box Culverts, Sealing of cracks on Road surface and in concrete structures as well, Installing of New Traffic signs.
Responsibilities Included…….

Costruction of
Quality control of civil engineering infrastructure works like, roads, Storm Water, Sewerage line, Underpasses, parking work.
•Lead site staff in controlling overall Project, Safety, financial recommendations, quality control, design modifications and Progress as well as to ensure all Project Documents is properly controlled.
•Review and monitor the Contractors site progress and construction equipment and manpower and advice of any shortage to expedite Project Delivery within prescribed time frame.
•Building a trusted relationship with the management team and with the Client’s counterpart staff.
•Establishing and maintaining an appropriate working relationship with the Contractors Representatives with a collaborative approach.
•Verifying and endorsing documentation, reporting and communication presented in support of service delivery to the required quality and satisfaction of the Clients.
•Monitoring and ensure full and auditable appropriate records are kept and maintained by site staff.
•Review Contract Drawings/Documents and advice discrepancies.
•Reviewing all shop drawings, method statements, any requests for information relating to the site construction and associated works.
•Assisting staff in resolving site issue from the Contractor and provide technical advice as necessary.
•Corresponding with Consultant & Client related services authorities
•Ensuring monitoring of progress of contractor against the program and takes steps to ensure the program is achieved
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
•Assist the QS team on contractual and construction matters.
•Weekly and monthly meetings to monitor quality and progress.
•Joint measurements and checking of payments.
• Quality assurance of works including undertaking technical reviews to verify compliance of design.
•Control of request for approvals, daily reports of subordinates etc.
•Co-ordination with QA/QC team’s for quality issue.
•Observe site safety practices. And make sure contractor is complying with safety, health and risk management requirements.
•Attend co-ordination/progress meetings and prepare responses.
• Review and certify progress payments to the contractor.
•Advice to contractor’s for the resource allocation.
•Assist in reviewing the process of Variations and Claims
•Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings.
•Prepare Preliminary Acceptance Certificate & Final Acceptance Certificate.
•Attending handing over committee walk-throughs, preparation of punch lists, monitoring, inspection of punch items and coordination with client for close-out.
