Field Level Engineering- Consultancy- Data Extraction and Analysis for design & modelling in water and sewer distribution system.
Currently, engaged in Desalination site selection & Engineering survey
The following field related activities has been carried out to determine the
condition of water & sewer collection system and for creation of baseline data for
analysis and design of water & sewer distribution system.
1. The measurement of manhole Invert Level reading using levelling staff
2. LIDAR survey for mapping
3. Nondestructive technology for determining the pipe alignment using
Ground Penetrating Radar Technique
4. Pipe condition assessment survey of existing sewer & displaced joints and
operational level of sewer line using CCTV technology
After the field level survey and primary data collection was involved in preparing project
estimation for the works proposed in the DPR.
I prepared land use/ land cover map for the study area to
determine the runoff from the catchment using SWAT model, worked out a excel model
with water mass balance equation to decide the quantum of water that can be pumped
to Chennai and assisted in report preparation.
Co curriculum Projects:
For North Chennai Zone - Global Shapers community, Geneva & CARE SVCE, This
project aimed in mapping the Kabadiwaalas (Scrap dealers) all around the city, with a
view to create a data for this particular community of people who are not recognized.
The data may be used for further analysis regarding Kabadiwaalas. The mapping was
done using an android app developed for the project.
Project Solarillion, An initiative to spread awareness about solar energy and to
description provide solar lamps at free of cost to the poor and needy students in the
government schools in villages of Tamil Nadu where the power cuts have been worse
destroying the healthy environment of the school students to study at home during
exams.
After my post graduation I got an opportunity in the above project as a Research
Assistant for field survey, data collection and data analysis for the study, using
mathematical models, preparation of reports and drawings. A result driven
mathematical model using MS excel was prepared which was my best contribution in
developing the output for the study.
