Looking after all Corporate Investment Banking functions and translating raw data from various financial systems into information for the purposes of reporting and visualizations. I look at trends and patterns in data based on client activity and transactions and provide business users including users from the executive committee with insights to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
• Oversee the implementation of new systems from start to finish
• Co-Ordinate the building of reports and dashboard via the BI team
• Produce Analytical Dashboards for EXCO
• Develop meaningful KPI, scorecards and drivers.
Employed on a fixed term contractual basis. Sub-contracted to Tata Consulting services and seconded to Standard Bank South Africa Rest of Africa Division.
• Moment of Truth (Mozambique) - Successful delivery of a high level dashboard for top 50 corporate investment clients which displays operational metrics such as Value, Volume and Turnaround times against transaction products. Duties included: Project Management, Requirements Elicitation, Documentation, Data Analysis (Source, Script and Validate integrity of Data in SQL Environment), Internal Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Implementation and managing client expectations.
• Nigeria Capability and Maturity Project - Successful delivery of a single Qlikview dashboard that replaced reporting from three different ERP applications. Focus was on Private and Corporate banking which replaced reporting with operational reporting for Executive Board Packs which enables Business to make strategic decisions based on specific metrics. Single handily delivered the dashboard working remotely managing all Business Requirement’s and client expectations. Duties Included: Project Management, Requirements Elicitation, Documentation, Data Analysis (Source, Script and Validate integrity of Data in SQL Environment), Dashboard Development, Internal Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Implementation and Post-Go Live support.
• Mozambique TPS - Development and delivery of a dashboard that displays transactions processed via 3rd party applications. Duties included: Data Analysis (Source, Script and Validate integrity of Data in SQL Environment), Dashboard Development, Internal Testing, Look and Feel demonstration.

• Dynamics GP Consultant - Lead GP consultant. Maintenance on an internal solution across the company. Duties included: JAD sessions with users to determine new requirements, creation of functional specification documentation. Support on all modules including third party applications, close liaison with Vendors, month end roll over’s, financial year end roll over’s, maintenance on FRx reporting tool, DBA role for respective GP databases in SQL 2008 and SQL 2012.
• Dynamics CRM consultant - Dynamics CRM consultant for an internal solution. Lead management, workflow management and account management.
• Dynamics GP Cloud Integration - Integration of 72 databases from a live server environment into a Data Centre environment. Duties included: Backup and restore of databases, mirroring of databases, maintenance, check links, reconcile of all modules and General Ledgers, user security, system security, smooth transition into production environment to ensure minimal system downtime, configuration of third party modules which included; integration with standard bank, connect direct, swift payments, fixed assets.
• Accpac Integration - Integration of 8 databases from a live server environment into a Data Centre environment. Duties included: Backup and restore of databases, mirroring of databases, maintenance, security, configuration of third party modules which included; integration with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
• IBM TM1 Reporting Integration - Integration of reporting for the Accpac system into a Data Centre environment.
• Assisting BI team lead with the creation of the Data warehousing for group finance and Sasfin Securities. Duties included: Basic SSIS, SSAS, MDX, SQL development, creation of reports using report builder querying the data warehouse.
• Dynamics AX Consultant - Rollout of phase 1 of Dynamics AX Trade & Logistics. Duties included: JAD sessions with users to define business requirements, function requirements documentation, design documentation “AS IS” and “TO BE” analysis, functional specification documentation, system configuration, data import, QA of data, full on system testing, training end users, creation of training manuals & post go-live support.
• Dynamics AX Consultant - Rollout of phase 2 of Dynamics AX Service Management. Duties included: JAD sessions with users to define business requirements, functional requirements documentation, “AS IS” and “TO BE” analysis, functional specification documentation, system configuration, full on system testing, training end users, creation of training manuals & post go-live support.
• Dynamics AX Consultant - Assisted Atos Origin in the configuration of their Workflow for the Professional Service Module in Dynamics AX 4.
• Business Analyst - Business Analyst focusing on re-engineering business processes for Premier Foods and integrating the business processes into software solutions. Duties included: Documentation; including Business Cases, Project Charters, Test Packs, functional Requirement Specification Documentation & ERD Documentation. • Dynamics AX Consultant - Dynamics AX Trade & Logistics consultant. Assisted in the design of the stock management solution. Duties included: JAD sessions with users to define business requirements, implementation of project components, identifying GAPS between user requirements and existing system functionality, creation of functional specification documents, developing user test packs, full on system testing, training end users & creation of training manuals.
• Dynamics AX Consultant - Dynamics AX Accounts Receivable & CRM. Assisted in training end users, query resolution, creation of training manuals, full on system testing, the creation of functional specification documents & post go-live support.
