- Joined RISE as a Senior Coordinator. Promoted to a Professional Quality Support officer since August 2015.
- Audit and ensure that the nurseries and open crops irrigation, fertilization, and pest control for open field and
nurseries, executed as per the set plan and established procedures.
- Supervise, audit, and review soil laboratory analysis procedures and instruments, results, and reports.
- Supervise and assess training courses (material and delivery) offered at the institute to ensure quality and consistency.
- Implement quality control procedures for training, research, and laboratory methodology.
- Implement quality system requirements and procedures and instructions set.
Develop a bilingual MS Access database to track of all accounting (payables and receivables), and materials
(e.g. fertilizers, pesticides, equipment), laborers, and production. This improved the budget, resources, and time management as well as the accuracy and quality of reporting and decision making.
- Prepare and deliver training on Global GAP, Quality Management and IPM to farmers, university students, and agricultural companies’ personnel.
- Participate in researching, discovering, and resolving problems that affect crop such as black mould for the
onion crop exports.
- Manage all client relations including: 1) Introducing potential clients to RISE activities and services, 2) Probing
and investigating the client’s problem, 3) Deciding the analysis to be performed, 4) Reviewing and interpreting
the analysis results and discussing with them and the potential solution(s) with the client.
- Coordinate and communicate between the different departments of RISE.
- Joined DDC as a Soil Laboratory Specialist. Promoted to Acting Manager in April 2008, then promoted to
Manager in January 2010.
- Prepare and Deliver Training on:
* Safe Food and Pesticides Dangers, to hundreds of small farmers, to become certified and qualified for supplying products to Makro Market Egypt.
* Global GAP, Quality Management, and IPM to farmers, university students, and agricultural companies’
personnel.
- Develop fertilisation and crop protection plans for open field crops, nurseries, and greenhouses.
- Manage the implementation of irrigation, fertilisation and pesticides according to the set plans.
- Manage all farm administration tasks including payroll, store, budget, personnel, etc. (I have experience in
managing a team of 5 to perform the noted tasks as well as performing them myself).
- Supervise, audit, and interpret soil laboratory, tissue culture laboratory, and nematode laboratory analysis, results, and reports.
- Prepare and deliver training on Global GAP, Quality management and IPM to farmers, university students, and
agricultural companies.
- Develop and implement a system for monitoring laboratory stores; this system helped saving chemicals and
improving our purchase plan by 15-20 %.
- Execute field studies, including determining profiles sites, collecting soil samples from profiles, describing soil
morphology, making infiltration rate of land and collecting water and plant samples.
- Conduct soil, water, plant, and fertilizer analysis.
- Quality control, Irrigation and fertilisation and pest control management.
Establish a farm on virgin land. All farm crops were distributed to local markets as well as exported to Europe.
Crops include flowers (Gypsophila, Carthamus, Delphinium), vegetables (Cantaloupe, Sweet Pepper, Lettuce,
Raddechio), vegetable nurseries, and fruits (table grapes). Farm’s annual gross revenue was 300K to 400K USD.
In December 2002, managed to export of Gypsophila cut-flowers to European markets that were displayed in
the Dutch Flower Auction.
Manage a farm with 60 laborers, 6 supervisors, and 3 agronomists (on field).
Manage all farming administration related activities including: 1) Payroll, 2) Budget, 3) Store Management, 4)
Pack House Management, 5) Nurseries, 6) Management, 7) Personnel, 8) Crop, 9) Fertilization, Irrigation, and
Pest Control, 10) Inventory of equipment and material, and 11) quality control.
Oversee daily operations.
Assigned to collect and analyze soil and water samples from all over Egypt to identify and classify soil types
and determine types of crops and expected crop production and recommend ways to reduce the identified
limiting factors.
- Perform field studies, including determining profiles sites, collecting soil samples from profiles, describing soil
