• Provide complete supply chain management support to the company operations involving manufacturing of precast concrete products for buildings, supply and installation at client sites.
• Manage the process of vendor development including identification, evaluation, approval and performance monitoring of vendors for raw materials, consumables, spare parts and supplies as well as for various services.
• Work closely with sales, production and project departments in preparing forecasts for various materials and developing procurement plans.
• Deal with all material requisitions, managing activities from preparation of tender documents through solicitation and evaluation of bids, negotiation and placement of orders to follow up and expediting supplies as per schedule.
• Supervise the warehouse ensuring proper receipt, storage, accounting and issue of materials as per approved policies and procedures.
• Track markets regularly to monitor price and availability trends of key materials, anticipate changes and formulate action plans to ensure smooth production through alternate sourcing or substitution of materials.
• Monitor inventories of various categories of materials and implement required measures for maintaining optimum stock levels to meet operational needs.
• Coordinate with stores and production department ensuring day-to-day movement of materials from stores to production lines as per schedule.
