Project: Design-Build of Al Busan South Expressway (P007 C5 P1)
The project comprises of the design and construction for upgrading of Al Busan Street South from an existing at-grade dual carriageway to dual carriage expressway with a minimum of 4 lanes in each direction for approximately 3.1 km including service roads and pedestrian facilities running parallel to and along both sides of the longest bridge in the State of Qatar spanning 2.6 km. Other features include providing new three-level and two-level interchanges with left turn directional ramps.
Responsibilities:
• Conducts inspections to ensure landscape and irrigation works were in accordance with QCS 2014 and MME-PPD requirements
• Coordinate with MME-PPD and municipalities to ensure proper handover of the assets including their inspections and closure of snags
• Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline and coordinates application of solutions.
• Reviews and approve the landscape and irrigation Shop Drawings, As-builts, RFITs, MARs and Method Statements
• Monitors landscape and irrigation construction schedules and assists in progress appraisal.
• Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule.
• Ensures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
• Collaborates with site supervision team and contractor to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
