Vision and Mission Subsequent accelerating growth rates in modern cities emphasized the need for integrated action plans for vernacular and future urbanism and urged the need to provide essential remedies for inherited problems. Some cities in Jordan are historical settlements dating back to prehistory, and others are emergent settlements reflecting the need to dwell in certain localities. However, most of these cities developed by contiguous cellular growth with little planning. These facts inflicted the quality of life in cities of the region as well
