DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical Installations, Wiring, Maintenance. Fault Diagnosis, Repairing and Servicing of Electrical Equipment for the following:
•Generator maintenance and servicing.
•Installing, repairing and servicing of water treatment plants including backwashing.
•Wiring and faulty diagnosis of submersibles water pump control panels and water pumps.
•Motor control circuits to include direct on line starting, star delta starting, and forward reverse direct on line starting, soft starters, variable speed drives and frequency variable drives.
•Installation and maintenance of HV electrical equipment eg transformers, circuit breakers.
•Installation and maintenance of non-hazardous and hazardous equipment
•Servicing and installation of air conditioning equipment to include window type and split type conditioners.
•HV and MV cable termination and jointing.
•Reports defects and recommends improvements, alterations and repairs.
•Maintains inventory lists and requisitions supplies, materials and repair parts.
•Assist in training lower level power plant operators and others.
Lesson delivery theoretical and practical instruction to apprentices and institutional trainees in Electrical Installation and Maintenance including Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
