During my work as a part-time interpreter for VIP delegations, I was regularly solicited by managers
I was charged to lead the team of interpreters during large operations with important clients, such as presidential delegations. My main role was to coordinate the delegates’ transportation operations to their working locations and guide interpreters during delegates’ field interventions. The challenge was to stay in track of everyone’s progression, through a constant communication with interpreters during the process, as the delegates need to be on time to their meetings or field interventions. This task involved responding to different contingencies as quickly as possible. I had to plan the routes to the different locations and alternative ones in case of traffic, unplanned roads’ closure or delayed meetings. Another challenge constituted of managing limited resources such as the number of cars and interpreters available to fulfil all the tasks.
This experience taught me a number of skills, I learnt to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment to meet our clients’ expectations. I also learnt to be flexible and adapt to any circumstance and respond quickly and effectively to any event disturbing operations. I also practiced and enhanced my communication skills and learnt people and time management.

I volunteered with the scientific club of my previous university as a computer science teacher for disabled
people and helped 25 people learn the basics of using a computer and programs such as word, Excel and other

learn how to interact and communicate effectively simple ideas to people with different levels of disabilities.
