• Manage and oversee the daily activities for staff who install, configure, and support various network infrastructure services and equipment (e.g., routing, switching, firewalls security, DNS, DHCP, VoIP, VPN, QoS, WLAN, Radius). Daily monitor service tickets to ensure resolution within defined SLAs. Monitor service performance ensuring service availability and reliability.
• Partner with internal and external service owners to support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a collaborative manner for SMU constituents. Work collaboratively with management peers across the entire institution.
• Plan, monitor, and analyze service utilization, trends, and needs in reports to administration. Proposing solutions to continually improve the overall posture of the network infrastructure.
• Direct, coordinate, communicate, and perform high-level network maintenance and service upgrades. Inclusive of revision upgrades, patches, hot fixes, service migrations, and hardware upgrades/replacements.
• Establish configuration, change management, and working procedures to ensure awareness, approval, communication and success of changes made to the enterprise network infrastructure. Participate in peer teams such as Change Management, Managers group and institutional committees as appropriate.
