Description:
The objective of the project 'EDEN' is to implement an EDW (Enterprise Data Ware house) from which individual Data Marts are built which would then be used for analytical and reporting purposes. The Project is implemented in multiple phases starting from Data Acquisition Layer, ODS, SVoC, EDW, Data Marts. The data from various source systems is loaded into staging tables and from there into Operation Data Store (ODS). The data here is transactional in nature. The data from ODS is loaded into EDW which is of summarized and oriented towards analysis and reporting. Data cleansing and standardization are provided to ensure that consistent and correct data are used while generating reports. The data quality rules engine is also designed to help achieve de-duplication which Single View of Customer (SVoC).Data Marts are physicalized instance or DB views of the L2 layer of AIA’s Logical Data Model. Data Marts will also support additional dimensions for aggregates and measures like period, geography etc.

•Understanding the Business Requirements.
•Designed Mappings according to the Business Logic, developed the Code.
•Worked on various Transformations like Filter, Expression, Lookup, Sequence Generator, Joiner, and Update Strategy as part of the business logic and built mappings.
•Created Sessions, Executed Workflows for the developed Mappings.
•Identified the Bugs and Resolved the Issues.
•Performed Parameterization to the designed Mappings and executed Workflows.
•Identified the Source and Target count’s for each mapping and performed Unit Testing

Responsibilities:
•Loading the files into Unix Server through putty’s, Quality reviewing them before loading into the server.
•Ensuring no bad data is present while pre-processing the file.
•Maintaining dashboards for each and every client in order to reduce the number of issues.
•Understand ETL Specification documents for mapping requirements and create mappings using transformations such as the Source qualifier, Aggregator, Expression, Lookup, Router, Filter, Joiner, Union, Sequence Generator, Normalizer and Update Strategy
•Expertise in Data Warehousing Concepts such as Star Schema, Snow Flake Schema, Fact Table and Dimension Table.
•Extensively worked with Informatica performance tuning involving source level, target level and mapping level bottlenecks.
•Developed mappings, sessions and workflows (ETL) for SCD types I and II to meet the above requirements.
•Knowledge on OBIEE.
•Good Experience in extracting data from various sources and Designed Mappings from Informatica Designer like Source Analyzer, Mapplet Designer and Mapping Designer.
•Ability to interface and communicate effectively with team members and provide the guidance in the development activity.
•Designed various Mappings for extraction, transformation and loading of data from heterogeneous source systems like flat files, Oracle to centralized Data Warehouse.
