RBM plays the vital role in all the Industries. It
affects the life of Machines and as well as men. So we must take the precautions of Machines. We
can improve the efficiency of Machine by the material handling equipments. The largest
advantage of RBM is that it is possible to eliminate the omission of the assessment locations and
prevent unexpected damage by assessing the risks of all the equipment this study investigated
technical advances and problems resulting from the application of the RBM to materials handling
systems. Risk is defined as the multiplication of the likelihood of-failure by the consequences of
failure of components or systems. This is based on engineering judgement with inspection data
operating condition, fatigue damage assessment, etc. The present study found that the RBM is a useful
decision tool to inspection and maintenance plan and can be applied to materials handling systems.
