at Azraq Comprehensive Health Center- M.O.H , Azraq - JORDAN
Azraq city is 150 Km far from the east of the capital, Amman. Azraq has desert climate. Azraq C.H.Center is one floor building, about 1500 m² in space. The population of Azraq is approximately 50, 000, half of them in Azraq city and the others are Bedouins around Azraq.
In Azraq C.H.C each family has a one file included all members of this family. We receive 100 patients daily, the one third of them received after 2.00 pm since Azraq C.H.C is working for 24 hours, as following : from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm as primary heath care center and from 2.00 pm to 8.00 am as Emergency Room.

The staff members in the Center are: eight doctors, three of them are family doctors, but the others are General Practices (G.P). We also have a specialist doctors: internal, surgeon, pediatric and gynecologist whom they come from Zarka Hospital every 2 days a week, in morning period. The major work of them is consultation. For other staff members there are 4 staff nurses, I am one of them, We have also 6 Practical Female Nurse, 4 practical male nurse, 2 registered midwives, 2 pharmacist, 4 lab technician, 4 X-ray technician, 4 drivers of Ambulance and 6 made for service.

I am working as a Staff Nurse, for primary heath care, Heath education, screening and giving lectures at schools. In some circumstances we focus in some problems like importance of immunization e.g. polio between Bedouins. Sometimes we make house-visiting for some patients especially Handicapped, elderly and C.V.A . Also as staff nurse, we are dealing with deferent medical and surgical acute and chronic cases such as accidents, R.T.A, head injuries, sever cut wounds, fractures, burns, delivery ( as emergency case), Scorpion and snakebites, dog bite, shock and suicidal attempts. Also we are dealing with drugs and chemical Poisoning, M.I, acute pulmonary edema, sever hypertension, D.M, C.V.A and cardiac or respiratory arrest.

The goal object of dealing with such acute cases which needs urgent medical managements in hospital is life saving and prevent or decrease complication to minimum during transplantation, by offering the first aid and life saving managements according to the acute case (A-B-C, Oxygen, ECG Monitoring, CPR, I.V. lines, dressing, stitches, gastric lavage, Foleys catheter, splints, etc.. ). Most of these managements are done during transplantation of patient by ambulance. Always staff nurse is going with these cases.

•From 17 - 5 - 1994 to 23- 12 - 1996 :
Zarka hospital, M.O.H, Zarka - Jordan.
Zarka city is the second important city after the capital, it is 30 Km far from the north of the capital, Amman. It is crowded. The population of Zarka is approximately one million and 200, 000. There are three governmental hospitals in it, one of them is military hospital. Also there are 4 non-governmental hospitals.
Zarka hospital, M.O.H, which capacity is about 260 beds was built in 1960 and many expansions continuously added.
Most pressure is on Zarka governmental hospital, because most people of Zarka are low-income and the site of Zarka Hospital is in a midtown of the Zarka City. Admission ratio is 100%.

The departments at Zarka governmental hospital are:
•Emergency word divided into Internal, Pediatric, Surgical and Orthopedic Emergency, as well as G.P clinics. In Emergency word there is monitoring room contains 15 beds for male and female.
•Medical word has 70 beds for male and female separated from each others, and so all words in the hospital, all internal medicine and it's subspecialties cases are expected to be seen there e.g. endocrinology medical cases.
•Surgical word and its subspecialties 50 beds for male and female.
•Pediatric word and surgical pediatric 35 beds.
•Nursery unit 15 beds.
•I.C & C.C.U 15 beds for male and female patients.
•Orthopedic word 20 beds.
•E.N.T and Optic word 15 beds.
•Anesthesia, Physiotherapy, Hemodialysis word, Laboratory and blood bank.
•5 labor rooms and gynecology word 35 beds.
•Out-patient clinics.

The Nurse members in hospital are Staff nurses and Practical Nurses, on every shift there is one or two staff nurse as minimum. About 70% of nurse members in Zarka hospital are staff nurses.
I was working in emergency word dealing with deferent medical and surgical acute and chronic cases such as accidents, R.T.A, head injuries, sever cut wounds, fractures, burns, Scorpion and snake bites, dog bite and shock, M.I, acute pulmonary edema, H.T.N, D.M, C.V.A, cardiac and respiratory arrest, status asthmatics and suicidal attempts. We were receiving 200-300 patients for every shift
July 1992 To May 1994

Mafraq governmental hospital - M.O.H, Jordan.
Mafraq city is 100 Km far from the northern west of the capital. It is agricultural city. The population of Mafraq is approximately 300, 000.
Mafraq hospital's capacity is about 170 beds. It is the only one there.
Admission ratio is 100%.

The departments at Mafraq governmental hospital are:
•Emergency word 10 beds.
•Male word has 40 beds for all internal medicine and all surgical cases and their subspecialties as well as Orthopedic, E.N.T and Optic patients.
•Female word has 40 beds as male word.
•Pediatric word and surgical pediatric 35 beds.
•Nursery unit 10 beds.
•I.C & C.C.U 10 beds for male and female patients.
•Anesthesia, Physiotherapy, Hemodialysis word, Laboratory and blood bank.
•3 labor rooms and gynecology word 25 beds.
•Out-patient clinics.

I was working in I.C & C.C.U dealing with deferent medical and surgical acute and chronic cases such as M.I, Angina, acute pulmonary edema, cardiac arrhythmias ( AF, S.V.T, P.V.Cs, V.T and cardiac arrest) C.V.A, Post arrest ( successful C.P.R ) head injuries, post-op care of major operation as craniotomy, labratomy, cholicestectomy, spleenectomy, and organic phosphorus poising. Also we are dealing with Patients under artificial ventilating.
