Joined NOVARTIS PHARMA PAKISTAN LTD as management trainee, A Pharmaceutical company, in a distribution set-up at Lahore in March 2004 responsible for coordinating storage, transportation and delivery of goods, with best possible economic results from available resources. Got promoted on 1st June 2005 to a position of “Manager Operations”. Some of my key responsibilities include,
Monitor field teams, support and coordinate ZDM’s in Planning & Implementation of sales Strategies for local & Outstation markets.
Team Management, Allocating & managing staff resources according to changing needs.
Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of the goods.
Inventory management in coordination with sales team, logistics & Supply chain, Coordinating & controlling order cycle.
Evaluate locations for new warehouses and distribution networks to determine their potential usefulness.

Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods & to issue work assignments, arrange for storage facilities when required, & maintain warehouse on a FIFO System.
Analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions, designed a new delivery model to support ambitious business growth.
Schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials. Issue shipping instructions & provide route information to ensure delivery times & locations are coordinated.
Evaluate freight & inventory costs associated with transit times to ensure that costs are appropriate.
Track & trace goods while they are on route to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary, all accounts affairs, in time banking, monitor & control market receivables. Work on sale returns, random visits of areas to make sure smooth booking & supplies.
