I am planning, preparing & delivering well-structured English Lessons. I have to adapt the curriculum so that the lessons are appropriate to the students' learning abilities and reflecting their needs and interests. I also have to write student reports, grade work, provide targeted, timely feedback and keep records of their attendance. I have also been asked to work with the LMS (Learning Management System) team to consider the further integration of E-Learning into the curriculum.

I was working in the Foundation Year at Makah College of Excellence. My duties consisted of teaching English and IT to Saudi students. Alongside this I was managing a group of teachers to ensure that the students received the best possible learning experience. I carried out the range of administrative duties required for the efficient management of the teaching and learning process. This involves issues such as Supervision of Staff, Curriculum Review and Development, Lesson Observations, Staff Development, Timetabling and Student Pastoral work.

In addition to my teaching duties I served as Program Leader - Vocational. This consisted of managing/coordinating the teaching, learning and assessment on these programs. As Program Leader, I had to ensure that a wide range of teaching and learning styles were used. This role also involved monitoring the effectiveness of the teaching and learning within individual modules. An important element of my duties as Program Leader was the individual monitoring and pastoral support that I offered to the students and staff. I was also involved in the Internal Verification and Moderation process within HE Computing.
To addition to my main role, I served as "Moodle Champion" with Bradford University College. Bradford University College was keen to promote the use of learning technologies within the Learning and Teaching process. My specific role was to provide teacher training on how to integrate learning technologies into the classroom. This involved running training sessions on working with Moodle and classroom teaching sessions on effective use of Moodle within the learning and teaching process.
My Dissertation for the MA in Education was to research the impact that Blended Learning has on student performance and attainment. The findings of the research had implications for how Bradford College and similar institutions used VLE’s.

I taught English and IT on the Business Information Technology, Information Administration and Educational Technology programs. As Sharjah-HCT was a vocational college, a large proportion of the assessments were portfolio based. And some courses were work-based learning and assessments, which involved visiting and working closely with employers.
I revised the Educational and Information Administration degree programs and rewrote the new curriculum structure for the Education Technology and the Information Administration programs. I was Course Assessment leader for Information Administration program, where my primary duty was to ensure consistency and validity in the marking.

OOver the years I was at Leeds I taught on a variety of modules. These included ECommerce Application Development and E-commerce Networking Technologies (PG), Research Methods for Dissertation and Dissertation Supervision (UG3). Business Systems and the Environment, E-Business Management (UG2), Information Systems Development, IT and the Communication Process, Networking and the Internet, Information Technology & Visual Communication (UG1).
