The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance (HBTF) was established in 1973 as a public shareholding limited company with a capital amounting to half a million JD. The primary focus of the Bank was to provide housing finance, and hence the name.
After 24 years of operations, the Bank embarked on a new era, when it diversified its scope and became the largest bank in Jordan, a comprehensive bank, providing full commercial banking services.

We were also able to reduce the time taken to provide services to customers and increased efficiency by 30 percent. New product launch times were reduced from months to weeks, and reports were generated online using a quicker and easier process by endorsing “Business Objects” as a platform for report generation.
•Led on a major project to enhance and fine-tune HBTF banking operations thru mapping the current process “As Is”, simulate and identify bottle necks and generate the “to-be” process with focus on transfers, trade finance, retail loans processes, the project was executed using ARIS tools from SAP.
•Led, direct and administrate the bank’s assumed accountabilities; Information Technology, Operations and Project management.
Provided executive-level leadership and guidance in critical areas of technology administration, including budgeting, resource development, policy formation, technology evaluation, and service development.
Directed computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
