Reviews, interprt, clarifies doctor medication orders and verifies all orders doses, duration and clinical indication. Communicates with ordering doctors in case of any ambiguity or concern. Calculate the amount of the drug product to dispense for aprescription based upon body weight and patient age.
Perform computer entry of outside prescription or order into CPOE system. Counsel the patient
And caregivers on the proper and safe use of medication, storage and interaction .
Follow all medicayion safty procedure when dispensing medication, maintain control and security of all drugs including dispensing, record, keeping and secured storage of narcotics and controlled medication. Identifies and appropriate handles the nearly expired medication according to hospital policies. Proper storage and handling of hazardous materials found in my workplace
