Main Responsibilities
• Follow up all tracing individual requests received by the Regional Delegation under the supervision of the Tracing Delegate.
• Plan, organise and carry out field trips to follow up individual tracing requests with national societies in the GCC countries.
• Plan and organise VTCs, phone calls and HPCs (humanitarian phone calls) for families of detainees in Guantanamo and Bagram.
• Ensure the collection, preparation, expedition of family food parcels as well as books, magazines and other materials from families in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, to detainees in Guantanamo and Bagram.
• Is the focal person in KOW RD for the purchasing and processing of books, magazines and other items requested by WAS for Guantanamo and KAB for Bagram, as well as other delegations/destinations as applicable.
• Contribute to the overall planning and execution of RFL activities and strategies, in close cooperation with the Tracing delegate.

Main Tasks
Individual Tracing and Family Links Requests
• Ensure the timely and regular exchange of family news (RCMs and Oral Salamats) between families living in the GCC and their detained relatives abroad.
• Maintain contacts with the families in the GCC of detainees visited by the other ICRC Delegations.
• Receive persons approaching the Regional Delegation for ICRC tracing services.
• Issue Travel Documents
• Assists in the organisation of family visits to former Guantanamo Detainees and to detainees visited by other ICRC Delegations (Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan).
• Maintains monthly statistics of the RFL activities.

Follow up with External Actors
• Make the necessary follow up with the concerned delegations and national societies (in particular Saudi RC) to follow-up on individual cases.
• Maintain regular working contacts with the persons in charge of Tracing services within the GCC National Societies and other humanitarian organisations (UNHCR, IOM, etc).
• Organise VTCs (including being present during VTCs), phone calls and HPCs (humanitarian phone calls) for families of detainees in Guantanamo and Bagram in close coordination with the national Societies (in particular Saudi Red Crescent Society).
• Maintain regular contacts with local authorities / administrations (eg. PACI in Kuwait) under the supervision of the Tracing Delegate to follow-up on individual cases and tracing activities.
