The German-Jordanian University (GJU) is a public university located in Madaba-Jordan.
I am working as a research assistant in hybrid sensor networks for emergency critical scenarios project intended to King Abdullah 2 Design and Development Bureau (KADB).
Project Overview
A wireless sensor network (WSN) consists of a large number of sensor nodes. The nodes are represented by mobile ground robots and are deployed over an area to perform local sensing of the surroundings. Sensing and detection of critical events and vulnerabilities in such areas are highly desirable for a wide range of civil and military applications. Autonomy and energy efficiency are two key design issues of WSN robot nodes that ultimately impact performance and validity. A novel communication protocol is used for energy efficiency. The protocol allows WSN nodes to communicate with each other and send notification messages while optimizing energy consumption based on the alternation of use between CSMA and TDMA.
Responsibilities
• Identify the main challenges and problems in designing long life WSN.
• Evaluate and analyze the current solutions to these challenges.
• Propose new solution for WSN communication protocol.

C4 Advanced Solutions LLC (C4AS) is a technology and security services company, based in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. with its business divisions targeting all the major areas of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
As a team member of Integration Specialized Systems (ISS) department I am assigned to the following projects
1- AlSaqr System :
AlSaqr system is a situational awareness system intended for the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
• Gather functional and non-functional requirements from customers and stakeholders.
• Define and document significant aspects of the software architecture that formalize requirements including non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, security …).
• Facilitate the major technical decisions that constrain the overall design and implementation of the software
• Define, establish and support software development environment.
• Apply XP as a software development process
• Define and perform development test (Junit test).
• Perform detailed design for software components.
• Implements software source code.

2- Emirates Command and Control System (ECCS)
ECCS is a command and control system intended to the UAE department of defense.
Responsibilities
• Define, establish and support software development environment.
• Apply RUP as a software development process.
• Define and perform development test (Junit test).
• Perform detailed design for software components.
• Implements software source code.
• A analyzing, designing and developing a GPS simulator.
• Analyzing, designing and developing a TDS simulator.
• Perform a full system localization to support multi language.

3- United Arab Emirates Coastal Surveillance System (UCSS) :
A member of bidding team for UCSS, responsible for analyze software components of the system.

3- Dubai Naturalization and Residency Electronic Messaging System (EMS)
EMS is a document workflow software system based on JEE technologies.
Responsibilities
• Gather functional, non-functional requirements from customers and stakeholders
• Define and perform development test (Junit test).
• Perform detailed design for software components.
• Implements software source code.

Technologies and Tools
• Used java technologies that include standard J2SE features, Servlet, JSP, JDBC, BC4J and java web services using Jdeveloper
• Used oracle application server 10.1.2.2, Jdeveloper 10.1.2.0 and SQL mainly on Oracle10g

I have been assigned to the following projects

1- Integrated Quality Management System
ETQ's Quality Management (QMS) Software is an integrated compliance and quality system that has been pre-configured to specifically address the needs of the industry for ISO 9000.
Responsibilities
• Developed and maintained web applications using java technologies such as ETQ Reliance platform that provide a Flexible Compliance platform that can be utilized to serve many initiatives related to Quality Management, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Management, Compliance Management


• Successfully developed java classes and resources to implement requirements and new features ETQ Reliance platform as well as Implemented code refactoring to enhance the design of existing code

Technologies and Tools
• Used Java technologies, including standard J2SE features, Servlet, JSP, custom tags, JDBC, JavaMail, LDAP, and other technologies as needed, using IBM websphere and Apache tomcat, IBM websphere and BEA weblogic application servers.
