 Survey the flood affected areas and collect data using parameters provided by Information Management Officer/Team Leader, Livelihood/Entrepreneurship Officer and DRR Advocacy Officer;
 Collect data being gathered on the assigned district by other sources and present it in the form of a report to the DDMA(s) and report them to PDMA Sindh;
 Conduct monitoring and evaluation activities as and when assigned by PDMA Sindh

Field Manager Information (Protection) at International Rescue Committee

Major achievements with IRC are as under:

 Successfully achieved all the Results of the active grants of the IRC in Pakistan.

 Ensured the information dissemination in Emergencies to IDP in person and through various media/public information channels, ie. Radio Programs, IEC Material on Protection, Child Protection, GVB issues, and on WATAN policies and procedures and interventions to Field Team. i.e Field Services Managers and Legal Officers, Protection Officers South Sindh.

 Made regular contacts with government officials in order to advocate IRC protection policy on the concerns of improving Protection, Children & Women protection rights including Watan Card and Pakistan Card in light of IRC's mandate. Ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of information to the communities.

 Coordinated and facilitated program colleagues related to emergency situation, such as Early Recovery Cluster and Inter-cluster coordination etc., and participate in information management network activities and meetings, and coordinate with information management personnel of other agencies.

 Ensured that in Emergencies IDPs have access to accurate, reliable, and timely information; making well-informed and sound decisions about return; developing effective survival strategies; and seeking durable solutions that are safe, dignified and sustainable and also well aware of information about their rights, duties, entitlements, registration procedures, policies prohibiting abuse and exploitation and for safe and dignified return.

 Worked closely with the local and national radio channels for Mass information dissemination campaign for IDPs, and ensure timely broadcast of information tape on Radio channel and in registration points and distribution hubs for IDPs.

 Developed budgets for new projects, based on further needs assessments and in close liaison with senior management, national / local /district authorities, and other actors.

Information and Communications Manager at Health and Nutrition Development Society (HANDS)

 Work closely with 11 field offices districts for flood emergency program of HANDS with Assistant Provincial Manager Flood Emergency Relief Center, Program Officer Partnership, Program Officer- Capacity Building and Program Officer Emergency. Focus on establishing information and data management system for Head Office (Karachi) and for donors like UNICEF, UNFPA, UNHCR, Care International, Medico International, GOAL Ireland International, and International Organization for Migration (IOM) that includes development of databases for different projects. Main responsibilities broadly include information collection, dissemination (including in-bound and out-bound communications), liaison with field staff and community members on different capacity building trainings and their wider information sharing. Press coverage, media relationships comm. design/recommend appropriate software/databases for record keeping of various programs and keep an up-to-date record of all partners and projects.

 Facilitated the information archiving systems of the HANDS for the flood affected areas activities.

Important contributions included:

 Setting up of Information infrastructure for 11 field offices including the procurement of hardware and soft wares.

 Development of information material for the flood affected population including the Health & Hygiene promotion messages.

 Full scale media coverage of the TAMEER Project of HANDS in the print and electronic media.

 Coordinated multiple donor visits in the project areas of HANDs during supper flood emergency.

 Publishing the case stories of the field.

 Capacity Building trainings of the staff members in information generation.
