•Handle various areas of Trade Finance functions including issuing import Bill Negotiations&Payments
•Granting Advance Import Lc Loans, Loan Trust Receipt and Loan Acceptance&issuing shipping guarantee
•Working in close connection with other Depts. Such as Credit, Treasury and Limit Input Team thereby exploring areas in which improvement can be brought about without compromising on bank procedures
•Promoting cross selling by sharing customer information within departments and educate customers on various requirements necessary for different transactions of the bank
•Preparing Swift messages(very good knowledge in MT 103, MT 202 and all other swift formats)
•Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts for the team
•Maintaining proper records for mail delivery and confirm holding record copies including released messages acknowledged by SWIFT before filing the L/c folder
•Attending customer&Relation Manager queries about arrival of documents
•Ensuring that standing instructions and folder notes are taken care of while processing transactions.
•Reviewing and ensuring that the cancelled shipping guarantees are received from the shipping company and cancelled in the system within two weeks from the date of release of documents
•Regular face to face contact with high profile customers, providing excellent customer service and delivering within agreed timescales
•Continuous support and contribution in developing and testing Core Banking System (TI Plus) to improve efficiency and smooth running of the trade transactions
•Liaising with customers&banks regarding Import documents and/or activities
•Supervising and training new staff by providing training and ensure smooth flow of work within the business
•Ensuring regular duties related to the smooth management of the Unit are handled
•Ensure that all adverse trends in problem occurrence and / or workflow are fully investigated&action taken to minimize the risk of re-occurrence
•Profound knowledge of UCP600
•Handling Import letter of Credit Issuance, Amendments and Insurance Charges.
•Payment of Correspondent Bank Charges
•Issuing Import L/c Bill Discounting
•Well versed with Banking software: Trade Wind, GFS & Swift Alliance
•Providing necessary guidance to customers on opening of Import L/C’s and in charge of responding various queries receiving from other Banks
•Identified and escalated customer issues to the Relationship Managers /Officers in Charge to identify area in which improvement can be brought about without compromising on procedures
•Handle pre-flight checks like Dupe segments, incomplete itineraries and Ticket Deadline Check
•Control Check on Duplicate bookings
•Booking class mismatch
•Implementing rules for ticketing time limits for all point of sale
•E-ticketed PNR with Booking Class mismatch
•E-Ticket Integrity check on Void/Refund/Flown/Fake tickets
