City: PRECAST CONCRETE PLANT Country: Sudan DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
•Responsible to make test of concrete durability ( chloride penetration test and sulphate attack test ).
•Responsible in the Concrete Design Mix, selecting the combination of materials, Concrete Admixtures for better concrete, How admixtures work, select type of admixtures used, and make Trial Mix of the same to come up with the results desired for the project.
•Prepare mix design of concrete using diferent standards BSI/ASTM.
•Supervision about Collecting samples of steel products, cement, concrete aggregates(sand and crushed rock), soil, water, and chemical admixtures and others from quarries and from vendor's depot, supervises the laboratory and field tests procedures for these materials, evaluates the results based on the project specifications and international standards such as BSI, ASTM prior to its use.
•Manage laboratory staf to ensure procedures are in compliance with international standards and codes. Advises and supervise the calibration and maintenance of Laboratory and Field Apparatus to ensure eficiency of usage .
•Analyze concrete product failure data and laboratory test results in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
•Conduct or supervision tests on raw materials such as sand-crush aggregate-cement-steel or finished products in order to ensure the quality.
•Design and direct the testing and/or control of processing procedures.
•Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors relating to process or product design objectives.
•-Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration.
•Plan and implement laboratory operations for the purpose of developing material and fabrication procedures that meet cost, product specification, and performance standards.
•Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives, such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical
•conduct quality control inspection of the precast units before, during and after cast.

•Checking and inspections and review of all civil work items for POWER STATIONS, PLANT, SUBSTATION, TRAN SMISSION LINES & BUILDINGS included :
-documentation, drawings and records, Geotechnical report, survey works, design and constructed drawings, storm water drainge work, water and sewer supply, electrical conduits and cable ducts.
-excavation, reinforcement installation, pouring concrete, masonry work, all the finishing work, Monitoring and compaction of earthworks.
-securityfences and switch yard surfacing .
•construction and setting point for foundations included :
-powertransformers foundations.
-HV circuit breakers foundations.
-currenttaransformer CT founadtions.
-voltage transformer VT foundation.
-isolators and earthing switches foundations.
-transmissions lines foundations.
-cabletrench and trench cover
-control room & lighting.
•Evaluate and recommend appropriate construction materials and assurance of quality for materials.
•Witness all concrete pouring, slump tests, Cube tests and soil compaction carried out at site.
•Reviewing & approving material submittals, suppliers & intended sub-contractors for the project.
•Checking the schedule from contractor monitor and observe actual progress in comparison with the estimate progress.
•Ensure that the subcontractors employed for Civil Works comply with the quality requirements.
•Assurance that constructionis executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, plans & Procedures.
•Attend the coordination meetings, discussion, suggestions for the all issues that we have in the site and help to close it.
•Quantity surveyor for all kind of civil works and tender evaluator including (general condition and specifications).
•Ensure that all relevant HSE procedures, instructions and controls are adhered.to so that HSE compliance can be guaranteed.
