Worked as a maintenance engineer of the maintenance department at Olefines plant.
Tasks and Experience gained during the COOP period:
• Attending and assisting with tests performed on rotating equipment such as MRT and OST.
• Participating in maintenance coordination on a daily basis and shutdown planning meetings with the operation department.
• Overseeing overhauling maintenance on centrifugal pump and single stage steam turbine.
• Witnessing the process of inspection, cleaning and re- tubing conducted on static equipment.
• Reading and reviewing mechanical equipment drawing and P&ID.
• Getting familiar with mandatory safety rules followed in company.
• Knowledge of maintenance strategy, condition monitoring and spare parts management.
• Being a member of the RCA committee and getting familiar with root cause and failure analysis process.
Very good Grade and a G.P.A (3.46 / 4) with second Honors. Elective courses: • Maintenance Engineering • Corrosion Engineering Senior Project: Designed and built a self-cleaning mechanism for solar panels to maintain their efficiency by preventing dust accumulation.
