• Promoted to Group CFO and key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to drive financial strategy and assume overall responsibility for the group's management accounting, its $650 million budget, and reporting.
• Translate and present highly complex information in financial reports into digestible information for non financial operational leaders, executive leadership, and other key stakeholders.
• Continuously improve the Group's financial reporting quality to reflect non-historical information and the group's potential future performance in financial reports.
• Provide business and intelligence support in evaluating M&A opportunities and structuring commercial deals to deliver best-case outcomes and grow shareholder value.
• Provide executive support/advisory to the Board of Directors with financial and non-financial information by summarising complex data into intelligence that drives business growth and drives value creation.
• Lead governance, compliance, and risk management including tax reporting, legal matters, loss prevention, and internal audit, ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee USD 650 million treasury activities by securing and maintaining bank facilities, allocating funds between subsidiaries and maintain 6 banking relationships.
• Lead the development and implementation of innovative finance tools, automation, and other process efficiencies to build value adding capabilities in the Group.
Notable Achievements
• Led two M&A asset purchase deals in a single market franchises in UAE that delivered targeted ROI with one developing into one of Al Yasra's key profit centres.
• Led a new JV set-up to capitalise on an opportunity to a complement business line.
• Spearheaded corporate restructuring to maximise tax efficiency, simplify financial reporting, and improve the Group's balance sheet and income statement position.
