Supervise the major activities of the laboratory. Review daily test reports and its initial approval. Informing process abnormalities in a timely manner to operators for corrective action. Provides expertise as needed for the developments of new test methods, procurement of new instruments. Responsible for train the laboratory chemists in operation of instruments and good laboratory practices. Define testing requirements for the external customers and verifying the quotation for correct test methods before issuing test quotation. Implementation of OSHA requirements, corrective actions for NCRs, QC control Charts, Six Sigma approach for problem solving. Data analysis waste water treatment plants samples and inform the operators about process abnormalities.

• Quality control: Quality assurance program monitored through analytical quality control chart to ensure process and equipment capability,

• Preventive maintenance: Monitoring and implementing preventive maintenance of instruments according to pre planned schedule.
• Calibration of instruments: Annual calibration schedule for the instruments, calibrate the instruments with accredited calibration body.
• Operation of instruments: ICP, AAS, UV-Visible Spectrometer, TOC analyzer, DO meter, Ammonia/ Nitrogen distillation and digestion units, Oil analyzer, COD analyzer, pH/conductivity/salinity meter etc.
• LIMS:LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) used to logging samples, analytical data entry, report generation, inventory control, and it is a complete laboratory management software.
• Analysis of gas samples, water samples, process samples from ammonia and urea plants, finish products (Urea & Ammonia). Boiler water analysis, recommending dosage of chemicals, blow down analysis and cleaning analysis.
• Conducting survey to find out problems in process plant (abnormal process conditions, leakage in process pipelines through analyzing samples from different sample points from effected area of the plant). Analyzing result and recommending solutions.
• Operating instruments: GC, ICP, UV Spectrometer, Sulphur analyzer pH & Conductivity meter, moisture analyzer, Trace ammonia, CO2, CO gas analyzers, ppb level hydrogen analyzer. Oil & grease analyzer, Oxygen analyzer, Portable gas analyzers, Kinematics viscosity analyzer, Flash point analyzer (Cleveland Open Cup), Karl Fisher titration, etc.
