• Quarterly Review of Excess & Obsolete parts and planning & executing there disposition effectively.
• VMI/SMI Management, planning, commercial & strategy.
• Inventory Accuracy: Cycle Counting & Year End Physical Inventory Counting (API- Annual Planned).
Process Excellence :
• Organize Functional Audit/ assessment (Annual).
• Identification of gaps in Processes & Identifying Projects (Process Improvement & Cost reduction).
• Facilitator for timely execution of projects identified.
• Organize training program as per training needs & internal development Plan.
Material Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics Management
• Release the Monthly/Weekly/Daily production plans of Axle Assembly & Axle Arm Machining to all the departments.
• Check and ensure the feasibility & Capacity for Axle Production in line with Chassis Assembly Plan.
• Shortage Review and Follow-up with Material Planning and ensure readiness of BOM in the system.
• Sequencing and scheduling of Axles to Chassis and timing gears to Engine as per resource available (Material / Line capacity) to optimize out from Chassis in line to week wise requirement given by MPS.
• Synchronizing Production at Axle India Ltd in line with Axle Assembly Plan.
• Streamlining Systems and procedures for effective inventory control of Major A-Class Items.
• Fortnightly analysis of Non-moving items and yearly analysis of obsolete items and monthly flashing it to across the plants and to MPS.
• Uploading of schedules on daily basis for all the 20 customers in the system by tools like “Electronic data Interchange as well as manually”.
• Comparing the schedules on weekly basis for all locations & intimating customers in case of any fluctuation for 820 live part numbers.
• Making of MPS (Master Production Schedule) on weekly basis & releasing the same for running of MRP (Material Requirement Planning) for getting the raw material.
• Material planning done on the basis of forecast & firm Orders received from various customers.
• Making of Production Plan on the basis of Load calculated for Job shop production and mass production.
• Controlling activities such as proper follow up from Marketing, Purchase and Production team.
• Inventory planning for finished goods done as agreed with all the customers regarding the safety stock to be kept at the warehouse.
• Logistics Planning to meet on time delivery to the customer as per the customer required due dates with cheapest mode of shipment with shortest lead time.
• Cost Cutting Activities such as revision of packing standards, horizontal and vertical implementation of bar coding system so as to reduce manpower cost.
