Roles & Responsibilities:
Currently a part of CIS (Cloud Infrastructure Services) team.
Looking into Performance and Capacity of Private EMC cloud using vCenter Operations Manager.
Part of Enterprise Management Automation Team.
Providing unique solutions to tackle any performance related issues with the applications.
Handling issues related to automation.
Designing Availability solution for mission critical applications using various VMware tools like Site Recovery Manager. This will help the organization to maintain RPO/RTO requirements with their clients.
Job role involves understanding of EMC’s current cloud capacity, Predict future cloud capacity, generate reports for the management. It also involves proactive monitoring of Cloud Infrastructure using several tools.

Setup benchmarks for Virtual machines for higher utilization and efficiency.
Reduce waste for virtual machines and make the resources available for new commissioning of VMs.
Create intelligent alert management system to reduce the number of unspecific alerts.
Create capacity reports for existing environment and predict forecast.
Work actively with procurement team on giving the timelines for new purchase.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Drive the IBM Virtualization Practice across various customers across the globe. Help clients realize value from their IT investment through improvement of their product platform infrastructure including processes, organization and technology deployment on an enterprise wide basis. Define the business drivers and associated system capabilities and services that are required, develop the IT solutions the IT business management systems required to maintain IT value and service delivery.
The Job role involves analyzing the client’s current IT environment, analyze technical problems & create solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools. Provide technical advice to project managers/leaders & give technical direction to team members such as subcontractors or client personnel.
Perform strategic analysis of current IT environment and develop recommendations. Develop business cases incorporating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) metrics to measure, manage, assess risk, reduce costs, and improve overall value of IT assets for clients. Assist in the identification of new IT services opportunities. Analyze end client existing infrastructure and articulate the need to migrate to Virtualization technology. Provide guidance and early adaption techniques with the need for a client to consider server consolidation approach. Prepare end to end solution for design/ implementation.
Present the real value proposition of Server consolidation to customer with a neat approach Work with the team to create SOW, solution proposal including migration, consolidation and implementation design documentation.
Primarily focused on solutions surrounding VMware Virtualization and specializing in Server/ Consolidation Projects and Disaster Recovery Projects.
Building Infrastructures as per design, P2Vs of existing systems along with post P2V support.
Adding new virtual servers to existing Infrastructure if capacity permits.
Upgraded existing Datacenter to ESX version 3.5 and VC version 2.5.
Continuous monitoring of ESX servers and virtual machines to check their stability and performance.
Installing ESX, apply patches and working on Trouble Tickets related to Virtual Infrastructure.
Creating Runbooks for Data Centres for Service desk and support technicians.
Creating several Standard Operating Procedures for Daily activities and Change Management.
MSCS of virtual servers across the ESX servers.
Copying the LUNs and getting VMs up for production in a different environment (Disaster Recovery).
Working on ESX 3.0.x, ESX 3.5, and VC 2.x.
Implementation of Hyper V for Test servers.
Using P2V Tools P2V Convertor 3 Enterprise edition during Datacenter Consolidation.
Perform Test DR every 3 months.
Handle Storage activities with our test environment.
