Project description
Work consists of construction of 21kms 3 to 5 lane roads in each direction in contract 3B & 30kms of 3 lane roads in each direction in contract 4. The project includes the construction of five (5) bridges, two (2) underpasses and roadway works where several construction activities like pavement structure, bridges, traffic control devices, street lighting, Storm water drainage, Irrigation, diversion and protection of the existing services. Work is being carried out in stages without disturbing the existing mass traffic.
Job Description
• In charge of all QA QC activities in the project as a lead QA QC. Overall responsibility to implement, monitor and document the QA/QC activities as per the established Inspection & Test plans and quality control procedure narrated in the project QA/QC plans.
• Prepare Project quality plans (PQP) . Ensure that all materials and equipment incorporated into permanent construction are in compliance with contract requirements. Monitor subcontractors on quality of work, submissions & records. Initiate & follow up Non conformance report and discrepancies till closeout. Prepare monthly QA QC reports with statistics on quality performance for management review.
• Conduct routine QMS audits on major projects, Head Office functions, Suppliers & Sub contractors. Involved as an audit team leader / member conducting and issuing audit reports to Project Managers / Group QA QC manager.
• Investigate root causes of non conformances and suggest corrective preventive measures. To conduct inspections on important activities.
• Monitor Asphalt laying methods to achieve International Roughness Index criteria in the project.
