Projects Management: Extensive project management background with sound understanding of contract documentation. Leading a team of professional engineers and designers for successful completion of different scale projects (hard & soft landscape) starting from tendering procedures till testing commissioning/ substantial completion & handing over. Convening engineers meeting, discussions on projects management guidelines and seeking projects status inputs. Establishing & defining projects completion budgets and monitoring thereafter. Projects under direct supervision include but not limited to:
a. Supply and installation of exterior improvements, landscape and irrigation works for the project of construction, completion and maintenance of package no. (2) service buildings, roads leading to the new terminal (II) and car park,
b. Supply and installation of interior landscape and irrigation works for the project of construction, completion, furnishing and maintenance of Kuwait international airport new passenger terminal II,
c. Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning for the Irrigation System and Planting and handing over to Authorities works Subcontract Works for the Construction, Completion & Handing-over of New Messilah Beach,
d. Supplying, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of Irrigation & Planting Works at Ras Al Ardh New Club at Salmiya,
e. Hard scape works at College of Social Science, College of Law, College of Shari’s and Islamic Studies, Prayer Area and Faculty Club (1), Sabah Al Salem University City-Kuwait University,
f. Supply & Installation of Landscape & Irrigation works at Construction, Operation & Maintenance of Academic Support Facilities Sabah Al Salem University Project Kuwait,
g. Engineering, supply, installation, testing & commissioning and maintenance and remedying of defects of landscape & irrigation at Student Activities and Athletic Facilities Package I and II @ Sabah Al Salem University City,

2. Contracting & Tendering Documentation: Preparation of contract documents of wide range of agricultural projects involving landscape, native & indoor plants. Detailed technical review of tender documents including drawings both in CAD & BIM modelling, technical specifications and bills of quantities. Understanding of TORs and technical specifications, preparation of agricultural contracts. Experienced in tendering procedures. Follow up, contract & subcontract review and preparations with clearly defined scope of work.
Supervision of sub-contractors for all landscape activities including External Paving, Pathways, Water Features, Internal Hydro culture planting, Installation of free-standing Living wall and external plantations including native plants.
• Ensuring contractual compliance by efficient site supervision. Issuing JSI for activities that need to be ensured, NCR in case deviation from contractual obligations are observed.
• Review and approval of contract shop drawings, source/ material submittals, operations and maintenance manuals.
• Coordination and progress meetings with client and contractors for the stipulated scope of work completion. Suggesting modifications to client related to different materials, sources in lieu of the optimum client satisfaction. Implementation of organizational, communicational, leadership and negotiation skills to safeguard client interests.
• Flexibility to listen and absorb suggestions and possible solutions from different contractors for the betterment of projects. Coordination to convince clients for the implementation of accepted changes.
• As approved contractor’s representative, managed a team of professional engineers and technical staff of different nationalities for the completion of university projects,
• Defined and assigned tasks to engineers and supervisors to manage cost, schedules and perform effectively, measure productivity and efficiency of workers for different tasks and assign each worker a task where he is most productive and efficient,
• Managed necessary resources like plants and related materials, different kinds of pavers and oversee all operations and activities to ensure operations are on schedule, within budget and in accordance with the standards and specifications,
• Prepare and evaluate feasibility reports and discuss with GM for new projects and status of ongoing projects,
• Source agricultural and paving products locally and internationally, make negotiations for competitive prices, place orders to import and finalize contracts for agencies. Shipments follow up and custom clearance,
• Nailed additional ‘Hard Landscape’ contract worth KD 564, 823.750 consisting of slate, granite, marble, sand stone, pre cast concrete & ceramic pavers,
• Based on hard landscape contract performance, a contract variation worth KD 187, 158.677 was awarded for planter stone cladding, wood decking, wooden benches, monolithic stone benches and wooden planters,
• Preparation & approval of project budget and cost control measures, preparation of tender documents for different government and private sector projects, assessing general and specific scope of work, coordination for procurement of project material as per approved construction documents.
• Arrange weekly meetings with engineers, supervisors and foremen to discuss the progress of all operations
• Attending meeting with clients/ contractors, gathering implementable information and sharing with contractors for execution,
• Involved in the execution of project in light of specifications given in the contract, coordinate for changes whenever required
• Attended international seminars and refresher courses for smart landscape, visited manufacturers and suppliers to see their quality and production ability, met field experts to attain latest information in the industry in various parts of the world,
• Thorough knowledge of safety and security procedures and ensuring implementation by relevant contractors at site during entire project execution timeframe.
• Projects tendering / pricing and attending pre tender meetings, giving presentations for company’s profile and scope of work,
• Farm management including setting production targets for different cultivars, green house management, plants upgrading as required, establishing optimum plants quality standards.
• Deciding production for each season and preparing schedules of productions, prepare programs for fertilizations, irrigation and pest management,
• Environment control through heating, cooling, ventilation, humidity control, light and sanitation in the green houses,
• Planning, conducting and evaluating trial to confirm the quality of different inputs like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, substrates and soil mixes etc, identification of insects, diseases, deficiencies and disorders and practices to manage them,
• Chemical analysis of soil, substrates and water and making recommendations accordingly,
• Meeting with farmers, growers, agricultural associations and research institutions,
• Arranging required resources for efficient project execution like manpower, machinery and equipment, project materials etc as per site conditions,
• Preparation of shop and as-built drawings with clear definition of scope of work and getting approved.
• Sale of plants, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, tools, machines, greenhouse material and irrigation material etc,
• Production & marketing of ornamental plants, Fruit plants and vegetables, setting up nurseries, developing agricultural farms, landscape, irrigation and greenhouse construction,
• Selection and recruitment of skilled manpower, consultancy to growers, farmers and customers,
• Managing financial aspects of the business by controlling income and expenses by preparing, monitoring and reconciling operating budgets,
• Farmer meeting and visits, setting out trial fields and presentations, guiding farmers for the latest agricultural technologies and water conservation techniques.
