DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
•In charge of total healthcare of all employees and subcontractors, including all medical emergencies or accidents at offshore locations.
•Implement and manage MEDIVAC procedures whenever necessary in coordination with authorities.
•Maintain record of patient illnesses, accidents, and Medical Unit inventory.
•Facilitate, arrange and monitor medical assessments and by liaising with Medical Officers and report on their status.
•Facilitate, arrange, and monitor all offshore employees RME & Food Handlers Medical Reports.
•Ensures calibration and maintenance of health and hygiene equipments as per manufacturers’, & HAAD regulatory requirements.
•Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
•Maintain records management database systems. Check databases and send notifications to those who are due for RME.
•Inspection on sanitation and hygiene of the Medical Unit, platform, & barges.
•Attending safety meetings, address health concerns as they arise, give presentations on health and safety topics to the crew, and lead inspections of accommodations from a health perspective.
•Leading the Medical Emergency Team in the event of drills and actual emergencies, and train the Emergency Tactical Response teams regularly.
•Providing lectures, presentations, emergency training on Basic Life Support, health education, & first aid lectures to all offshore employees.
•Health advice and monitoring of Vital Signs as a campaign for healthy living employees in offshore such as blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, and cholesterol checks, etc.
•Providing emergency management in coordination with our site Medical officers in all aspects of I.V. therapies including Push Medication, Rhythm Interpretation and Management, CPR including Defibrillation and Cardiac Monitoring.
•Performs wound suturing and wound care.
•Ensures that all duties allocated are carried out in a safe and professional manner in compliance with current safety regulation including regular attendance of CME, Safety Courses and meeting.
•Ensure that the medical unit equipments are ready 24 hours a day to meet any emergency.
•Undertakes all duties as specified in the Emergency and Evacuation Procedures.
•Checking/Auditing/Maintaining medicines in our clinic pharmacy to ensure that all routine and emergency supplies are ready 24/7.
•Submitting Medical Unit monthly reports to all officers in charge that includes Illness statistics, accidents, injuries, referrals, etc.
•Maintaining all Health Systems records & databases e.g. Health and Hygiene System, First Aid’s, Occupational Health Injury and Illness Reporting System.
