• Prepare designs, Quotes and proposals for IT Infrastructure projects for fibre and copper technologies based mainly on AMP Netconnect - TE Connectivity & Panduit structured cabling systems.

• Prepare project BOQ, cost calculations, specifications, submittals and design drawings.

• Constant follow up with suppliers and sales team to make sure that sales targets are met.

• Train Techno Q staff on selected topics and implement company quality management system.

Skills Gained:
• Developed in-depth knowledge of the complete process from design, shop drawings production, installation, Testing & Commissioning of Structured cabling systems.

• Understand the use of various structured cabling accessories and design systems accurately in order to avoid wastage of materials and resources.

• Design and prepare accurate BOQ's of the systems according to clients and consultants recommendations and support the sales team in order to meet the deadlines for tender or finalising stages for job in hand projects.

• Understand how important it is to provide a cost effective and a complete solution with optimal time management in order to sustain in a competitive market.

Major Responsibilities:

• Design of low voltage systems, mainly Fire Detection systems, IT/Telecom systems, Public address and audio/visual systems, CCTV/ Access control systems and Building management system as per local regulations and international standards.

• Supervise and instruct AutoCAD Technicians to achieve correct and quality design drawings.

• Process design review and approvals from Qatar Civil Defence and Qatar Telecom departments.

• Coordinate with Concerned people such as Client, Contractors and other discipline engineers.

• Prepare Front end documents such as Design basis memorandum, Specifications, vendors list etc.

Skills Gained:

• Develop better understanding of various general practises and Local & International regulations involved in the engineering design procedure for ELV systems.

• Work as a team in coordination with other Engineering departments such as Mechanical, Architectural etc. to meet the requirements of the client while ensuring that the standards & regulations are met.

• Ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines from the client.

• Further enhance my interpersonal and communication skills through regular engineering meetings and discussions with various prestigious clients.
