VIRTUAL KEYBOARD USING MATLAB
A “Virtual Keyboard” is an application that allows user to give keyboard like interface through web camera. This is an interactive way of implementing keyboard functionalities. A virtual keyboard can be implemented by capturing the keyboard image containing grid of characters. The captured image is processed using various image processing techniques. Here the camera is set to take images continuously. The user must place finger on particular key of the keyboard image, so that camera takes image it must be visible. This image is identified and captured. The location of pressed key is identified by suitable techniques and thus keyboard functionalities are implemented. The experiments show that this system has good interactive input functionalities in real time.
