Provide technical support to local schools. Supported; Windows server 2008 /2012, Active Directory, Group Policy, Interactive devices. PC repairs, PC imaging, Printers, SIMS. Escalation management / issue resolution.
Responsible for installing, configuring and supporting a range of virtualized network solutions including Vanilla & RM ‘Community Connect 4.5’ in schools.
As a lead technical consultant I was required to support Deployment Engineers / Technicians with new system roll-outs. Also take on the commissioning of the larger, more complex network implementations e.g. Migrating DC’s from server 2003/2008 to Server 2012.
After completing RM’s summer 2013, 2014 & 2015 infrastructure installation projects, I was transferred to RM Managed Services division in Manchester as a Field Support Engineer, supporting several BSF secondary schools. • Symantec BackupExec 2014 - Disk to Disk to Tape using RM Diskbox and Tandberg T24 & Neo storage.
• VMWare ESXi 6.0 vCenter commissioning on: HP P2000 SAN and Dell MD3320i iSCSI SAN. ESXi hosts: HP DL380 and DELL PowerVault MD3220i.
• Symantec End Point Protection v12.1.5, iOS device management via Meraki, SIMS, PaperCut, Micro Librarian.
• Carrying out hardware fault diagnosis & repairs, down to modular level and occasionally component level.
