Team Management and Supervision

• Lead on Metro Wifi Project (Burq Broadband) RF planning and site deployment in 5 cities (Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Bannu).
• Implementation of AAA using FreeRadius, MySQL and Coovachilli on Ubuntu and Centos.
• Experience working with Ubiquiti Networks equipment including Rocket M2, Rocket M5, Nano Station/Beam/Bridge, Tough Switches and airMAX Sector Antennas
• IP planning, IPtables (firewall)/ ACLs configuration and static DHCP lease assignment for whole Burq Broadband network (over 500 2.4GHz AP sites) along with 8 Hub sites (servers and 5.8GHz backhaul bridges)
• Experience working with and configuring Cisco Routers (2900 Series) and Layer 3 Switches (Catalyst 3560-X Series)
• Remote troubleshooting of Servers and Network equipment via SSH, Telnet and OpenVPN.
• Performed drive tests using Wi-Spy kit to determine WiFi channel selections.
• Selecting appropriate Sector Antennas, their azimuth and tilt for each AP site using theoretical knowledge and practical testing.
• Supervised Network equipment monitoring using Zabbix and ticketing using JIRA.

• Writing Server (Linux) side scripts for PingER (Ping End-to-end Response) project, which provides a history of Internet since 1998 with over 700 hosts in 160 countries
• Working on TULIP (Trilateration Utility for Locating IP hosts), providing Measurement-Based Geolocation and Visual Traceroute, using CGI/Perl. IPv6 compatible.

• Designed broadband 2-40GHz Antenna (Cavity-Backed Spiral Antenna) using HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator).
• Designed Infinite tapered Balun 2-18GHz for impedance matching.
• Designed RF/Microwave components (using ADS) including Filters (Cascaded Quadruplet, Edge Coupled, Distributed and Lumped) and Couplers (Microstrip and Stripline).
• Designed modules for clean X-band signal generation using frequency multiplication
• Design and testing of RF front end, RF/GSM jammer.
• Active and Passive RF component testing using Spectrum Analysers, Oscilloscopes and Signal Generators
• Wrote LabVIEW programs for automated hardware testing using GPIB interface
• Worked as team lead on several projects.
