COBAM KYC (Client Onboarding & Account Maintenance) team currently provides support to Global Banking & Markets and assists in mitigating the potential risk of Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Corruption by performing due-diligence checks on entities, which have different legal establishment and business lines.

As a Business Project Coordinator - I’m responsible for the overall management of the Business Systems and Remediation projects. Basically, business projects are undertaken to ensure that clients, which have existing relationships without appropriate or valid KYC information / KYC Profiles are immediately updated to avoid any reputational / financial damage to the Bank and also to comply with regulations and also I’m responsible for the administration of Business applications used in different geographies and managing projects globally for KYC Services (COBAM).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage the systems and remediation projects from different geographies and adhere to the project timelines along with handling escalations from the business end.
• Co-ordinate with onshore & offshore counterparts for project delivery, status reporting & overall project management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the program stakeholders and sponsors for all projects globally.
• Liaise with the Relationship Manager teams/Front office to explore opportunities to resolve the long standing profiles and bring them to the expected KYC standards and also respond to adhoc queries raised by them.
• Regularly liaise with Compliance team for necessary dispensation / approvals with respect to the
Document/information deficiencies required to complete the KYC for the pending clients
• Scheduling and conducting weekly progress meetings with stakeholders of each project from different geographies and provide an update on the status of the project and highlight any potential bottlenecks, showstoppers and concerns forecasted and also discuss the best way forward to deal with them.
• Collaborate with team managers on Capacity planning for various projects to ensure maximum resource utilization and also to ensure completion of the project as per the timelines agreed with the stakeholders.
• Preparing Business Cases to initiate projects, based on specific business needs, by giving detailed analysis of the opportunity and the expected benefits of the project to the relevant stakeholders for their approval.
• Foster a culture of process re-engineering and process improvement ideas within the team to reduce the operational cost and to enhance process efficiency.
• Analyze the Data and technology requirements for the COBAM KYC Service globally.
• Work closely with IT, Change Team, COBAM, and the Data Quality team to ensure that functional deliverables are fully met.
• Liaise with stakeholders from different geographies, and try and understand their requirements from the technological perspective
