The Solution Consultant is a senior level pre-sales resource responsible for the translation of business and technical imperatives into solution sales campaigns that are consistent with Storage and backup strategic business focus.
By applying ValueLabs and Storage Industry related technical acumen, relationship development, and consultative selling skills, we are charged with co-facilitating our transition to a solutions-based engagement model.
Leverages appropriate storage oferings and expertise to objectively address customer needs in an efort to become their trusted advisor. RESPONSIBILITIES
Aligns with appropriate sales geography to represent ValueLabs Solutions (TS and Partner) to all assigned accounts.
Uses knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise, and consultative
sales skills to assess and educate customers on value of storage infrastructure and management.
Responsible for latest and emerging technologies (such as: cloud, converged networking, software defined data center) & its solution streams.
Builds in-depth knowledge of clients' technical and business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into storage solution opportunities.
Responsible for delivering both core implementation solutions (Build) as well as incremental consulting solutions (Plan and Manage).
Ensures efective coordination and support between account teams and supporting technical resources.
Responsible for the coordination, delivery and quality of presales Technology Solutions
Provide the end-to-end technical solution and costing as part of a bid or proposal.
deliverables within the domain of the account which may include items such as
configurations, Consultantural diagrams, and proposal inputs.
Exercises and manages the process of forecasting and retiring booked solutions business within assigned accounts.
Builds value-added relationships within the domain of the account to become the trusted advisor.
Responsible for developing and proposing technology solutions that meet customers' needs. Ensures that proposed solutions when implemented meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.

Job Role : Solution Consultant Responsibilites :
Engage with Sales Team for Pre-Sales Consultative selling and post sales implementation.
Work closely with alliances and partnerships with technology and product leaders and also trained on the latest technologies by the vendors. Provide the solutions to the customer from COE (Center Of Excellence) interms of Access to best practices, Latest Technology Trends and Cost efective solutions interms of Storage and Backup technology .
Works with the sales team to Consultant, design, and implement complex storage, server, and blade solutions including performing customer white-boarding.
Build in-depth knowledge of clients' technical and business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into Storage and Virtualization solution opportunities.
Perform complex analysis of storage, backup and DR environments under limited supervision.
Providing technical consulting expertise and leadership to internal project teams and clients
Translating customer requirements into technology solutions
Present a professional image of the company.
Act as Technical Liaison between customers and principal vendors.
Exercises initiative in Consultanting enterprise data storage designs, programming, and modifications of backup storage applications programs for small, mid-size and large environments; using a variety of diferent operating systems (UNIX, Windows, Linux, and Apple OSX).
Perform product evaluations and comparative deep dive analysis, and make recommendations to customers for best of breed product and oferings.
For the enterprise data storage backup environment, supports the full system engineering life-cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, test, and implementation.
Design and implement backup de-duplication and recovery plans.
Author, review and update documentation of procedures and methods as needed.
Have worked on Virtualization technologies such as VMware and its integration with Storage.
Have worked on various Storage Management products and oferings.
Having Good analytical and troubleshooting skills (the ability to think logically through a problem)
Develops and implement data storage design and software from documented requirements, performs unit and integration testing, and supports system and acceptance testing as required.

Managing and troubleshooting EMC Storage Devices. Have basic knowledge of EMC Centera, Celerra, Clariion, Lun masking with the servers, knowledge on SAN Zoning. Initially worked with Clarify tool and presently working on CSI tool developed by Oracle Corporation. Storage platform is EMC LINUX.
