• Executing and monitoring the maintenance activities of the Instrumentation and control equipment in the assigned area and assign resources in line with the maintenance schedule
• Plan and manage time and manpower for scheduling and controlling the routine, preventive overhauls, emergency maintenance, annual and major overhauls.
• Preparing maintenance reports for overhaul work details for Instrument and control plants / equipment with regard to desalination / generation units assigned.
• Preparing maintenance budget proposals and technical scopes for the planned works

• Maintain inventory of spares for the year by using oracle software, and initiate procurement in order to maintain the availability during overhaul and emergency maintenance and thereby ensuring the quality and timely completion of work.
• Check the proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters; troubleshoot control system problem as they arise and modifying the logic as per requirement.
• Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures at all times within the power station.
• Recommend new installations or modifications to improve plant control performance or replacement of defective or obsolete instrumentations for control equipment systems and subsystems.
• Supervise and monitor the progress of all types of routine, breakdown and planned maintenance activities, so as to minimize the down time for the equipment for increased plant productivity.
• Since Dec 2013: Working as a Control & Instrumentation Engineer in SembCorp at Salalah - Oman Independent Water and Power Plant (IWPP).

• Responsible for the plant instrumentation maintenance activities.
• Prepare the schedule for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Identify the critical spares and make it available in the stores to avoid the plant outage and also initiate procurement of all required materials and ensuring availability of economic stock level.
• Well planned, identify and execute the work in-between the plant outage or equipment unavailability.
• Plan and carry out all preventative, breakdown and shutdown maintenance jobs.
• Troubleshooting of problems within given period for plant availability.
• Supervising and maintaining ABB DCS and all PLC.
• Collect back-up for DCS / PLC and properly maintain records.
• Responsible for the complete plant firefighting system.
• Clear the techno commercial evaluation (TCE) as per the requirement.
• As a certified internal auditor for Integrated Management System.
• Have strong command over EPC team and able to get work done by them with a defined time line as per the schedule.
• Coordinate with EPC team for CEMS and SWAS system for proper commissioning.
• Generate punch points, Warranty defects and clearing that by follow-up with EPC team.
• Preparation of maintenance manuals for good understanding of the system and better maintenance practice.
• Avoid the frequent failure of system, equipment and sensors by Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Maintain suppliers documents, datasheets, design documents, test certificates for plant and all equipment’s.
• Monitor and maintain legal requirements related to licenses, permits, calibration, testing etc.
• Prepare yearly budget for the department and monitor procurement and contract in view of budget.
• Have good knowledge in commercial terms, invoice procedure and payment terms.
