* Manages the daily activities of an estimating department for an engineering organization.
* Implements technical estimating standards and procedures and oversees the work of
project estimators.
* Solicits supplier bids and proposals for labor, material and equipment and evaluates
proposals to ensure they meet project specifications and budget requirement.
* Responsible for the training and staffing of estimating department.
* Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
* Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved
budgets.
* Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.

and Facilities Management. Plafond has more than 15years’ experience specializing in
commercial, retail, residential, hospitality and social infrastructure sectors.
Responsibilities
* Estimated more than 300+ projects which involves Drainage, Water Supply & Firefighting,
D-X Air Conditioning, VRV Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Chilled water systems and District
Cooling Systems And In the Commercial Dept.,
* As Quantity Surveyor in Projects for Preparing Variations & Post Contract Bill of
Quantities.
* Preparation of Preliminary estimation, Budget estimation, Detailed estimation (With Rate
Analysis) Insurance claims and administration.
* Preparing Project Risk Analysis report.
* Sending enquiries and obtaining prices, analyze prices, prepare material and labor cost
estimation and bid price
* Conducting negotiations, Identification of cost or pricing data submitted during the
negotiations and relied upon in reaching a settlement.
* Preparation of List of Technical Queries for Consultant clarification.
* Quantity take-off using PlanSwift/Blue Beam/AutoCad Softwares.
* Prepare technical and commercial bid, follow up until finalization.
* Prepare a costing & PC Brief for the works, highlighting the value of all equipment / material.
* Tender adjudication with the Estimation Manager.
* Prepare the BOQ for final submission to the Client/Main Contractor.
* Prepare value engineering proposals.
* Revise the costing for the post tender clarifications received.
* Prepare final contract BOQ based on the agreed contract value.
Company Brief: Power Point Electrical and Mechanical Works, is an engineering firm
specializes in various large scales, prestigious engineering projects of township development
in UAE.
Responsibilities
* Estimation Engineer - Mechanical, estimated more than 275 projects which involves
Drainage, Water Supply & Firefighting, D-X Air Conditioning, VRV Air Conditioning, Chilled
water systems and District Cooling Systems
* Analyzing the Tender Documents to get required information for the total understanding the
systems involved.
* Review the tender documents and ensure that all data required for pricing are available in
the documents
* Prepare tender queries for missing information/drawing or any contradiction between the
documents.
* Sending Enquiries to suppliers/sub-contractors after verification of drawings, specifications
and all other required documents and Liaise with suppliers for quotations.
* Preparing the bid proposal & BOQ for final submission to the Client.
* Coordinate with, instruct and supervise AutoCAD Technicians to prepare the detailed shop
drawings with respect to the project specifications and developing the Coordinated Shop
Drawing as per site conditions and with other services.
* Performing Plumbing, Firefighting/Mechanical related calculations and material/equipment
selection based on the project requirements.
* Meeting Clients & Consultants for Post/Pre - Tender Clarifications & Discussions.
* Carry out Site visits for Various Tender Related Projects.
* Preparation of Value Engineering Proposal by either cost reduction or by considering
alternative Value added services meeting Project Objectives
