Ensure to participate in major freight forwarding bids for the MNCs, bidding, and pricing for them.
Responsible for quoting to clientele and ensure the businesses remains profitable. Negotiation of freight rates for export as well as Import and get filed the rates quarter wise for all major commodities moving through ACTCO Gulf Freight LLC. Developing new cross trade lanes. China to Europe, India to Europe, China to South Africa and South America; China to West and East Africa.
Keeping good business-relation with major shipping lines and carriers for rates and hassle free operations. Ensure smooth sailing of shipments in coordination with customer service, operation, documentation and finance team.
For the new clients, if needed help them to file EMIRSAL-II codes with Customs department and facilitate the same in coordination with Customs Dubai. Online filing of export declaration entries with Dubai customs through Emirsal.
For import collection of delivery order, preparation of LPO, and filing bill of entry and arrange delivery of the cargo within the time period.

Imparting information of shipment and providing sales lead to overseas counterparts in an effort to develop nomination of FOB export shipments. Also providing details of import shipment arriving into India on regular basis for securing same. Coordination and liaison with Shipper / Shipping lines / CFS / Customs and other related offices. Interaction with shipping line to get competitive rates and timely response.
Providing quotation to client and also providing them regularly with updated vessel schedule of various line and guiding customers on the transit time etc., enabling them to select shipping line as per their requirement.
Follow up with shipping line about vessel position prior confirming booking of shipment. Book container with line depending on cargo readiness and give feedback to operation staff on vessel schedule and shipment. Get stuffing report and updating client about vessel planning, and follow up BL preparation as per requirement, if LC terms have to be complied. Providing loading confirmation once container has been loaded on board the planned vessel. Ensure timely release of BLs after final checking and despatching to client with required documents.
Assistant Manager: Oversee all above listed activities
Liaison with Finance Dept on daily basis for funds for timely release of BL.
