I am responsible of installing and activation customers on FTTH project in umniah. i am one of evaluations team that evaluate technical proposals for FTTH project.
Duties:
September 2011- current: MDS engineer (Managed data service):
. Adding VLAN ID on umniah Microwave network to activate our customers.
.configuring router, switches, access point for new customers activation.
• Supervising all field team to solve maintenance tickets I received from TAC team.
• Organizing all data need for outage operation such as: customers names, VLAN ID for customers, and needed path.
• Support networks with emphasis on Fiber Optics (WDM, FTTx, xPON).
• Strong experience in all aspects of fiber Networks (FTTx, xPON and DWDM) planning, budget calculation, configuration, and installation.
• Planning an outage operation related to Microwave links, fiber cable, and transmission Multiplexers.
• Responsible of all microwave NEC link to connect them to PNMS (remote access management system).
• Establish KPIs to support fiber optic network management.
• Handle the central management system of Redline links.
• Monitor the network status and generate the related reports.
• Dealing with test equipment such as E1 tester (EXFO Device), OTDR, And Ethernet tester.
• Provide a leased line services for customers (Data and internet) using fiber (Point to point service) and Microwave (unlicensed (Redline) and licensed (NEC)) links.
• Project reviewing and tracking.
• Provide MW & project updates, ensuring designs are accurate and of high quality.
• Organizing Line of sight (LOS) surveys.
• Coordination and provide support to the teams at the field (Umniah teams and contractor teams).
• Apply the needed software updates and configuration of MDS network elements.
• Coordinate with O&M management systems admin for backhauling configuration, upgrade links configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure management physical connectivity of remote sites for all MDS NW elements.
• Interfacing with IP network team for VLAN setting and ports management of MDS customers connected on gepon fiber network.
• Microwave Radio Network capacity and expansion plan.
• Responsible design all transmission network within MDS department at Umniah e.g. PTP /PMP microwave links, fiber network (GEPON network).
• Achieving annual target in terms of new sites roll-out w.r.t. to MW & projects.
• Supporting GSM section for Mobile Shelters re-locations.
• Supporting business customers for new projects & MW links.
• Link planning, Frequency and Interference Analysis using PATHLOSS 4.0 Plan PDH and SDH links using (8GHz, 13GHz, 15GHz, 23GHz, and 38GHz).
October 2010- September 2011: Transmission engineer
• Establish the E1 connections for microwave link (SDH and PDH) between tower to connect the BTS (base transceiver station) with the BSC (Base Station Controller) and then with MSC (Mobile Switching Center).
• Experienced in using testing hardware and software used in BTS commissioning and integration such as Site Master (Huawei and ZTE BTS equipment).
• Supervision of sites build activates in order to reduce cost.
• Install, configure, and manage the microwave network links (Harris, NEC, and Redline microwave).
• Manage the microwave links using mercury equipment (convert the LAN port to E1) to connect the link to server by reserve time slot (E1) in BTS.
• Fiber Optic termination and testing.
• Dealing with Huawei OptiX OSN (3500, 2500, 1500) system using fiber optic connection and SDH(STM-4, STM-16) microwave links.
• Verify and approve with contractor for new microwave link establish in Umniah Company.
• Able to perform network O&M On-call 24 x 7scheme.
• Dealing with DDF, connect the MSC to BSC through transcoder (Ater and A interface).
I was working as fiber optic specialist engineer (National Broadband Network NBN) in north region project to:
• Connect schools broadband network, government entities network, and medical entities network, about 485 entities.
• ADSS (All-Dielectric Self Support) about 500 km optical fiber aerial cables (ADSS) and 100 km optical fiber Duct cables.
• Increase my experience in fiber distributions network, fiber test (OTDR, power meter and power source) and Splicing optical fiber cable.
• Ensure that employees who handle, pull, install, splice, terminate, test or trouble shoot fiber optic cables are in compliance with the company’s safety rules and requirements.
• Design a budget loss fiber optic system. The system loss budget and the overall attenuation lost of components.
I worked as technical sales engineer with fixed line telephone communication, also connecting establishing and programming the PBXs (Private Branch Exchange) such as NEC, Panasonic, Samsung, and alcatel.
