Shift Team Lead/ Manager at Carillion Alawi

Worked as Shift Team Lead with Carillion Alawi L.L.C Oman, managing a team at the facilities management division for the New Muscat International Airport from March 2018 till April 2020. Being a team, we are responsible for maintaining all the electro mechanical services installed within the Passenger Terminal Building at the new Muscat International Airport. As the Shift Lead, I am personally responsible for managing all maintenance activities within the 12 hour shift assigned to me and my team, understanding and catering to the requirements from the customer as and when required.

The scope is of the Passenger Terminal building (PTB facility) which spans 3 floors with the Concourse, Arrival and Departure levels, 3 piers with numerous boarding bridge house and plant and electrical rooms which are continuously monitored. The Airport includes an in-house Hotel facility with 3 floors and around 35 well equipped en-suite rooms. The facility offers numerous prayer rooms, rest rooms, Clinic, Passenger lounges and associated Toilet facilities for which the installed services are to be maintained as and when required to always keep them serviceable. The Air conditioning system is constantly monitored by BMS across the whole facility. Specialist team is employed to maintain the GPU/PCA facilities under the supervision of Client. At the end of every shift the daily complaints are being logged with the corrective action adopted and a report is prepared by the Shift lead which is transmitted to the Client and other end users on Daily basis.

MEP Coordinator at Carillion Alawi

Worked as MEP Co-ordinator with Carillion Alawi L.L.C Oman at Kempinski Hotels in Al Mouj for a short term of 8 months. Then moved on to Saraya Bandar Jissah Development Project at Qantab area.

Solely responsible for managing the sub-contractor installations, duct/sleeve provisions for services at road crossings, interface/ co-ordination between multiple contractors on board and Consultant/ Client to collectively achieve the set milestones, facilitating the Testing and Commissioning activities and final Method statements and documentation approval as per the Client requirements. The project scope outlines the construction of Saraya Bandar Jissah Infrastructure works which includes road (dual/single lane), roundabouts, parking bays, service corridors accommodating the mainstream electrical/ mechanical lines, road signage/ road marks & landscaping. Associated electrical and mechanical installations including street lighting network, Potable and Irrigation systems along with pump rooms and valve chambers, Sewerage network with manholes and lifting/pumping stations and Storm water installations with inlets and outfalls. These networks/ systems are controlled via centralized system managed from Client end. Also involves a 39m Helipad construction with all associated electrical installations.

Worked as MEP Engineer with Carillion Alawi L.L.C Oman in the MC2 Contract of Muscat International Airports Development Project.

The MC2 Contract of the Muscat International Airport Development Project comprises of 5 main Technical buildings viz. Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC) which stands tall to 90m, Air Traffic Meteorology Complex (ATM) comprising of the Area Control(ACC) Room and Weather Forecasting Room, Contingency and Training Center (C&T), Data Center-2 (DC2) with the Main Servers supporting the airport functioning and Crash Fire Rescue Building (CFR) along with Utility buildings for ATM and C&T, ATM Store, Radiosonde, Checkpoint, Guardhouse for the ATM and Sea Rescue Station (SRS) building intended for Emergency Sea Rescue operations.

• Checks Shop Drawings to confirm if it matches with project specifications and design requirements to proceed with site installations.

• Coordination between various sub contractor shop drawings and coordinates installations on site as per the coordinated drawings.

• Coordination of various services with the Lead Consultant for Interior finishes and Client requirements and if found any discrepancies, implements it on site which enhances the smooth functioning of the project involved.
