Planning

• Looking after the complete accessories division(Home décor) & thereby managing budgeting, sales strategy, range planning, assortment plan, store assortment mix & liquidation strategy.
• Preparing and finalizing Buy Plan by month at Class/Subclass levels to match the strategy plans for (Quantities, Options, Prices and Suppliers) and as per OTB/Inflows set by month.
• Prepare reports to measure actuals against plan for in season management .
• Monthly analysis on Product Ranking- monitoring good & bad selling items to agreed parameters and action to be taken on re orders, price adjustment for slow seller or discontinue the lines/range.
• Consolidation of the broken ranges, as per sale to best performing stores.
• Stock transfers within territories (UAE, QATAR, MUSCAT & RIYADH) based on performance, stock cover, actual market trends & sales re-forecasting -inculcating the sales & marketing assumptions and external factors.
• Preparing the liquidation strategy for the discontinued lines/slow seller as per the agreed parameters.
• Analyzing on markdown %age & sales margins to ensure set margins are being achieved.
• Deciding on corrective action together with head buyer, as per the analysis, and further implementation and follow up.
• Ensuring the newness are regularly shared with the marketing team for the ATL & BTL activities.
• Collaborated with Visual Merchandising to ensure effective display presentations at store.
• Regular store visit, on an agreed frequency, to be abreast with product feedback and competitors study.
• Proper delegation of the team members and enabling them to reach their full potential. Initiated cross training with other departments to improve workflow and streamline project completion timeframe.
• Coordinating with people across departments & at all levels and thereby managing healthy working environment & teamwork.
Buying
• Extensive experience gained by attending major HOME FAIR in INDIA, Hong Kong & China (Jinhan/Canton fair) for the range/products selection.
• Range presentation & selection, after the fair, through collaborative discussion on each category & products.
• Responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and follow ups related to packaging, artworks, bar-coding, pricing & shipping marks.
• Strong in cost negotiation, delivery & payment terms.
• Quality inspection report review & feedback and suggest corrective measures to meet our set requirements.
• Ensured timely and efficient product flow by regular communication with vendors & import dept. and through shipment tracking.
• Regular in touch with vendors for the timely replenishment of the fast moving articles, sales & stock update, payments & EOS returns of unsold stock.

• Deciding on corrective action together with planners & buyers, as per the analysis, and further implementation and follow up.
• Laisioning with the Marketing team for the launch of events, festive & yearly catalogues.
• Proper follow ups on the catalogue merchandise for the timely deliveries and ensuring availabilities.
• Coordinating with people across departments & at all levels and thereby managing healthy working environment & teamwork.
