Key Profile (Financial Analysis, AR): Leading & managing Finance function for one of the leading Engineering & Construction company in Kuwait with rich experience in Oil & Gas sector. Clientage includes MEW, KOC, KNPC, KGOC, Samsung SDS, AKTOR COPRI, Technip, CORRE, General Dynamics, Saudi Arabia CHEVERON etc.
• Prepare Tender level / newly imparted Project cash flows for different project assignments based on the contract inputs & per the cost break down structure.
• Prepare & analyze company’s Quarterly cash flow to provide a total visibility to the management to base accurate decision making for funding different projects.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for the management like IS, BS, P&L.
• Analyze projects & compare them to the cash flows with stages of work completion. Analyze receivables ratios, collection turnover ratios, comparing Debt to Equity; budget v/s actual variance also initiated the collection management system for the company.
• Consolidate yearly budgets for the entire company & ensure it is uploaded in the ERP for Budget V/s Actual analysis.
Achievements:
• Reduced the monthly Aged receivables by 30% in just six months of joining with various strategic client relations, correspondence with project manager’s constant follow-ups, and other receivable stratagem.
Key Profile Accounts Receivables & Operations (AR): Led the Finance Accounts Receivables team for a leading Prime Vendor with monthly collections worth $170 million.
• Managed the Accounts Receivables (AR) team (with annual billing to DSCP over $1.5 billion), the only team in Prime Vendor which billed the US Gov. for over $8 billion for the entire contract period. Implemented the new billing procedures as per contractual requirements and tracked monthly receivables.
• Led the Finance AR team for handling remote operations in Jordan, Turkey and Iraq.
• Led the Supreme Billing team in handling operation for Afghanistan from Kuwait (2004-2005).
• Handled bi-annual inventory audit for Jordan operations.
• Ensured that all invoices are raised and processed accurately & timely manner as per the contractual requirements and coordinated with PV-Global Logistics, Supplier and Customer.
• Managed all accounting and reconciliation of receivables tracked in the Global Billing System right from recognition through cash collection.
• Tracked & classified claims / refunds prepared various reports like revenue v/s cost, budget v/s actual, receivable analysis, AR Ageing etc. and submitted to the senior management.
• Coordinated with the External Auditors to ensure timely and successful audits / reviews of the accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Reviewed aged receivables, prepared write-off of bad debts and submitted recommendations to the Financial Director.
• Reviewed and analyzed all supporting schedules and analyzed general ledger accounts for interim, monthly and year-end closings
• Liaised with DSCP (Defense Supply Centre Philadelphia), Vendors, Consultants, Army personnel, internal departments, etc. and conducted trainings on procedures, client relations and systems operations.
Led operations team and helpdesk personnel and coordinated with vendors and consultants to steer daily operations and review business trends.
• Conducted study and evaluated competitive systems & technological developments to provide quality service delivery to the existing customers & prospective clients.
